"Great view, either to the ocean or to the mountain. Surrounded by curral vineyards. We had a very warm welcoming. The hostes is extremely nice and you'll feel at ease, like you know her for a long time. She gave us a map with the main attractions and restaurants. All the restaurants she listed were spor on. The room is very spacious, and has great amenities. With a full kitchen. It's in a good location 5 minutes form Madalena. Don't think you can't get much better than this."

"Beautiful hostel, felt a like a hotel (just with bunk beds). Rooms had nice beds with linen, two pillows and two towels. Bathroom had great water pressure and each bed has their own shampoo/conditioner/soap which was very nice. Tap entry keys to main door and room doors felt safe, closets with key locks were a good size. "

"This unit is not in Sao Roque. It is 20 minutes away. It was very difficult to find the unit. It is a nice house in a beautiful little remote village. Has an amazing view and is very close to the local natural pool. The restaurant served great food but does close early. "

"Casa Rosa (the Pink House) was the perfect spot for our 5 days on Pico for our group of three couples. The owner, Manuel, speaks English fluently and is extremely helpful. He, and his brother- and sister-in-law, who live next door, were very responsive to any issues we had, including coming over at 11 pm to restore power lost during a storm, and responding within a few minutes when one of our party got locked in a bathroom! And, after all their help THEY gave US a bottle of wine for our trouble!...

"It is a very nice hotel decorated very tastefully. Also has an excellent sea view. The only issue we had was the room was a bit musty and mildewy smelling probably because it is on the coast and the ventilation isn't very good. They were also very nice to let use check in at 10 AM."

"Beautiful houses in a rural setting. I rented the apartment downstairs. It has a great little kitchen and a comfortable bedroom. The patio has stunning views of Sao Jorge Island, and when you look up at night all you see is stars. Peaceful setting. The owner, Laura, is kind and welcoming. She'll tell you all about the restaurants and sites to see on the island. She loves Pico, and you will, too!!"
