Excellent location. Overall very good.

Lovely views, good weather, really nice welcome. Parking on road and tricky. Noisy and sensitive pumped water system especially at night. Some of the taps needed washers replacing. Could do with a music and DVD system. But really en joyed our stay.

The cottage was very spacious inside as well as the grounds outside. Everything was clean and well kept.The view out to the Atlantic was excellent and we watched many sun sets. We enjoyed our walks down to the harbour and the supermarket,but not always the very steep walk back. We had a hire car but because the cottage and grounds were excellent we did not use the car much.

Stonecliff cottage - vacation with real sea view

Stonecliff Cottage is an outstanding vacation rental in Caletha. The house is large, nicely decorated and has a large terrace with deckchairs, hammock, barbecue and much more. Many providers promise only the sea view - here it is unrestricted! The check-in with the landlord was completely problem-free, and after a week there were fresh towels and fresh bedding. We used the existing washing machine to clean our clothes after hikes. The internet worked great. The house is recommended, if you want to explore Madeira, but also if you want to to relax within beautiful surroundings.

Alles wunderbar. Das Wifi ist extrem schwach. Es funktioniert nur in unmittelbarer Nähe des Routers, im Wohnraum.

Formidable

La propriete etait en tous points conforme aux photos. Tres propre, tres bien situee car nous avions une vue magnifique face a la mer. Un decor de reve avec un jardin tres agreable, tres bien paysage et ombrage. La prestation est de qualite avec un changement de linge de maison a mi-sejour ainsi qu'un peu de menage. Rien a redire si ce n'est qu'on quitte cet endroit a regret ...

Brilliant location and property, views stunning

We stayed for two weeks and were glad we did because it gave us time to explore Madeira And have lazy days "at home" to fully enjoy the house and excellently kept gardens, leaving us totally relaxed. It's probably down to covid that we felt the property needed a little tlc, and a change of linen after the first week would have been nice, however the washing machine worked well so no real probs. We would definitely consider staying there again 🙂👍

Sehr schönes Haus mit atemberaubender Aussicht

Beim Ankommen am frühen Abend hat es uns buchstäblich die Sprache verschlagen. Das Haus liegt wunderschön und der Blick auf´s Meer war zu jeder Tageszeit ein Erlebnis. Haus und Garten sehr gepflegt. Jederzeit wieder!

Fantastisk beliggenhed

Huset ligger godt med fantastisk fri udsigt. Dejlig have med flere flotte terrasser. Huset og vedligeholdelsen virker noget forsømt. Man tager ikke de gode råd som tidligere lejere havde nedskrevet til efterretning. En del ting virkede slet ikke, såsom vaskemaskinen, som vi havde brug for. Der løb vand ind konstant, igennem gulvet, på badeværelset.

Die Lage ist einzigartig! Die Aussicht unbeschreiblich schön.

Das Cottage ist sehr gemütlich, sauber und man kann stundenlang den schönen Gsrten und die Terrasse geniessen. Gute Lage für Levada Wanderungen. Ein magischer Ort!

Was für eine Lage!

Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein: 80 Meter überm Meer, vom Bett aus sieht man den Sonnenaufgang, von der Terrasse den Sonnenuntergang. Mittlerweile liegt das Häuschen nicht mehr alleine in den Bananenplantagen, doch trotz vieler Nachbarn ist der Name Quinta do Sossego (Haus der Ruhe) noch immer Programm. Wer Ruhe und Madeira-Flair sucht, der ist dort genau richtig. Drinnen ist es gemütlich, aber ein bisschen dunkel. Doch wer will schon auf dem Sofa sitzen, wenn ihm der Atlantik zu Füssen liegt?

Phänomenale Lage

Wir waren mit unserem 6-jährigen Sohn für eine Woche im August in diesem Objekt. Die Lage des Hauses ist fast nicht zu toppen. Grandiose Aussicht, nachts hört man die Wellen. Haben immer draussen gegessen und sind von Tag zu Tag später zu Ausflügen losgekommen, da allein der Aufenthalt am und ums Haus schon Urlaub pur war. Vanda war sehr hilfsbereit und hat bei irgendwelchen Fragen sehr zeitnah geantwortet. Im Haus hat es uns an nichts gefehlt, was Ausstattung etc betrifft. Wir wurden zur Begrüßung mit Wein, Butter, Toast, Marmelade und Milch empfangen, was uns riesig gefreut hat. Die Nachbarn waren nett, hilfsbereit und herzlich. Das Parken empfanden wir nicht als umständlich und auch nicht weit entfernt. Leichte Probleme hatte mein Mann mit der Matratze, aber er ist auch allergisch vorbelastet. Hervorzuheben ist die Ausstattung der Küche: von allen möglichen Gewürzen, über ein Waffeleisen, Saftpresse, Teller, Töpfe und Pfannen in allen Formen und Größen. Richtig toll! Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle für den tollen Aufenthalt.

Eine schöne Unterkunft mit perfekter Lage . Als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen optimal. Die Strasse zum Calheta Beach ist allerdings gesperrt. Steinschlag!Ausstattung wie beschrieben.Alles perfekt.

Entspannung pur!

Man ist so dicht am Meer, dass man das leise Rauschen der Brandung hört und den ganzen Tag Ruhe und die Aussicht auf Meer und Küste genießen kann. Wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge egal wo man sitzt. Im Schatten der Bäume, der wunderbaren Terrassen oder direkt in der Sonne. Das Haus ist innen und außen wunderschön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Für Selbstversorger ist alles da, was man braucht. Für uns eines der schönsten Unterkünfte, die wir bisher hatten. Unser Tipp: Die Bewertungen lesen und das Positive behalten; es stimmt absolut. A&G aus Bochum

Stonecliff-Cottage - Quinta do Sossego... ein gemütliches Haus in super Lage!

Wir (2 Personen) verbrachten 2 wundervolle, entspannte Wochen hier und möchten dieses Feriendomizil gerne weiterempfehlen. Das Haus ist rustikal, gemütlich und sauber, wir fanden es genauso vor, wie im Exposé beschrieben. Alles dran, alles drin... Die Lage ist kaum zu toppen! Das Anwesen liegt ca. 80 m über dem Meer in einem Garten mit mehreren Sonnenterrassen in ruhiger, ländlicher Umgebung. Die Aussicht auf Meer und Küste ist grandios, es gibt atemberaubend schöne Sonnenuntergänge! Man kann ungestört die Sonne genießen oder in der Hängematte schaukeln und sich vom leisen Klang der Brandung einlullen lassen... Entspannung pur! An heißen, sonnigen Tagen bieten u.a. die Mango-Bäume ausreichend Schatten - und die Garten-Dusche angenehme Abkühlung. Die Verkehrsanbindung ist sehr gut, auch die Bushaltestelle befindet sich in der Nähe. Alle Teile der Insel sind von hier aus gut zu erreichen. Der Jachthafen, die Sandstrände, ein gut sortierter Supermarkt und einige Restaurants sind nur ca. 1,5- 2 km entfernt. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermittler-Agentur, sowie mit der Ansprechpartnerin Vanda vor Ort, findet problemlos in Englisch statt. Auch Wegbeschreibung und Check-In-Informationen sind präzise und verständlich (englisch). Für unseren nächsten Madeira-Urlaub werden wir sehr gerne wieder dieses Feriendomizil buchen!

Sehr sauber,tolle Aussicht

Leider konnte uns nicht auf Deutsch verständigen aber die Anfahrt wurde gut auf Englisch beschrieben das man selbst mit wenig Englischkenntnis ohne Probleme die Unterkunft erreicht hat

Wonderful holidays
