“I highly recommend Akira Hotel. I had an incredible stay. The room was in pristine condition. The large balcony with a view over the garden and city was a highlight. The restaurant and bar were also excellent. I will return any time I am in Kigali.”

“My family enjoyed everything about this property. The housekeeping and cooks were our highlights along with the great security guards that actually assist with luggage to the rooms.
The breakfast is brought to your room FRESHLY MADE. Eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit, tea and coffee, toast and muffin. The only thing; the electric is ran off a prepaid card (as all of Rwanda), BUT the card ran out and I thought we were without electric until I looked around at the other rooms and seen that they had……Ziva B

“The hotel is nice and located close to the airport. The staff and the food are great. My only challenge was in the room with the Air Condition was not working. They had to fix it almost every day and I’ll wake up in the middle of the night sweating like crazy. They never switched my room and they never fix the air condition completely. Otherwise, the stay was fine.”Khader

“The bathroom had a lot of mould on the ground as the curtain did not stop water from spilling out of the shower area. The bathroom fan did not work, and the window in the bathroom strangely opened into the hallway.
Staff were nice and helpful, and the air conditioning was nice, however the bed was very hard.”

“This hotel is a bit dated and could use a remodel. We overall enjoyed the stay since we weren't in the room as much. There was only AC in the bedroom, so we had to keep the living room windows open most of the time, since the AC in the bedroom was barely enough to keep it cool. The thermostat was set to 20 degrees Celsius so if you need to sleep cooler that wasn't an option. Maybe if the AC was mounted on a wall that blew the air on you at night that would have been better (currently it is……Katara

“Huge room; very clean and quiet. The breakfast was amazing! Wifi was a bit spotty, but that seems to be the norm in most places in Rwanda. ”Vishal

“I booked 2 apartments for one night before flying on from Rwanda.
When we turned up they had no ecord of our booking or of our payment. When i showed the receipt they allowed us to stay.
There is no restaurant or bar onsite, but we did get food from their partner restaurant 3 blocks away and it was delicious homemade pasta. We had it in our apartments. The apartments are very spacious and more suited to business clientele or peolle staying for several days or weeks. They have a kitchen, large……Yolanda
