“Several issues with the booking and stay mean we would not return. We booked for four days, but the £100 security deposit still had not been released four weeks later despite multiple follow-ups. This has significantly undermined our confidence in the vendor. The room was not cleaned during our stay, and no fresh towels were provided. More seriously, the owner entered our room unannounced one morning without knocking, which we found alarming and unacceptable. Make of that what you will. The……

“Room is spacious and comfortable. All furniture have nice finishes. Has full kitchen and cooking appliances. The bar stools on the island are a bit too high however, so we have to stand while eating. Great location in the city center. Parking is decently easy once you find it. There is a homeless shelter right near the entrance, so it’s a bit uncomfortable. The rooms are a bit hard to find, and a longer walk from the car park, but the staff tried to provide detailed instructions to facilitate.”

“We had the most amazing stay at this cosy, comfortable cabin surrounded by greenery. It was like living in a tree house. The birdsong was beautiful as were the sunsets and views of the night sky. The cabin was spacious enough for two and had everything we needed for our week long stay, including parking. There is a log fire with plenty of wood for cold days but we were very lucky with the weather and had warm sunshine every day which made the cabin warm and cosy to come back to after days out.……

“Everything was wonderful except there was nothing in the ad to say you have to contact the owner if you have a car. It just says self-parking available. Please call before you arrive and be prepared to pay a 50 pound deposit for the fob which let's you into the parking behind the hotel.”
