6e balade irlandaise

Séjour enchanté dans cette jolie chaumière avec vue sur le Croagh Patrick (que nous avons escaladé, sous le soleil), sans oublier la pause, au retour, au pub le Campbells. Belle découverte de Westport et de renseignements fournis à l’office du tourisme par un charmant monsieur. Belle journée aussi à Clare Island, toujours avec du soleil. Merci aussi à Elizabeth et Patrick pour leur accueil. En attendant notre 7e séjour. Anne & Jean

Lovely stay in Drummin

We had a most enjoyable stay in the thatched cottage in Drummin. The cottage is quaint and comfortable. It was a haven of coolness for us during the recent heat wave. The surrounding countryside is picturesque and beautiful. Stunning views of the nearby mountains. Lovely country sounds of sheep and lambs calling to each other - loved it!

The Thatched Cottage

Our hostess, Elizabeth, was very helpful and attentive, the cottage clean and cozy with a great turf fire to greet us. Bed in the larger room was very comfortable. However the smaller room is suitable only for 1 and then just wall hooks, no room for storage. No problem for us as a couple. Shower is smaall but clean. Tiny kitchen work surface persuaded us to eat out but Westport is only 20 minutes. Great scenic location.
