“The hotel was simply wonderful! The room was very comfortable, the shower was amazing and the bar and restaurants were superb. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend!”
“Great location near coffee and wonderful restaurants (The Saint just one block away) and and beside a gorgeous little chapel. Easy walk to golf but without being in all the crowds. Also, extremely comfortable. Only suggestion is more instructional info for finding things, using laundry machine, and how to leave things at check out. ”
“Our room was small, but clean and comfortable. The surrounding area is great - walking distance to shops, dining, historical places, and The Old Course. Easy to find parking - either the free lot nearby or street parking right in front (nominal cost and free at night ). The property manager was very helpful and responsive. We found the area to be quiet at night and busy during the day. We would stay here again. ”
“GREAT location, large rooms - love staying at the Dunny. Onlybwarning I would give is that it will be loud at night (until the bar downstairs closes and the golfers/students disperse) until around 11. Not good for children. ”
“Incredible location and facility. Historic hotel lived up to every expectation. Room was very comfortable and had a great view of the Old Course. Rooftop bar had great view, drinks and food. Can’t wait to stay there again in the future. ”
“Wonderful setting in St Andrews. Newly remodeled rooms. Busy part of town and lots to see and do. Very convenient to all St. Andrews has to offer. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. ”
“We stayed in the gate house, which was amazing. Spacious accommodations with a separate living room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Property was beautiful. Great breakfast. ”
“Great peaceful and relaxing hotel. Beautiful golf course. Much nicer than the old course. Needs an update here and there, but nothing major. Would stay again.”
“Beautiful castle in the middle of a forest about 10 minute drive from the center of St Andrews (you will need a car or taxi if you stay here). Had a mini apartment that was enormous and spotless with huge sitting and bedroom with very comfortable bed. Manager/owner was very proactive/responsive, but be aware that I didn’t see anyone the entire weekend. Kitchen was stocked with many breakfast things and real coffee. Will absolutely be staying here again.”
“The room was great, very large. Bathroom was also very spacious.
It was perfect for our 1 night stay with St Andrew’s just a few minutes down the road.
The room was clean and incredibly comfortable, only complaint is the beds were in front of the windows so we couldn’t open them. ”
“No evening meal staff great stupid on line check that does not work for tourists thank god for great staff. Business needs to invest in people and workakable IT system or better still let the staff do it for no cost”
“One if the staff went above and beyond when asked about laundry. She was amazing. She was also upset.to mearn that cleaning staff had left the dirty towels holding the door of our room open when we had checked in. She picked them up and took them away.. My husband really enjoyed the course. Due to the gale force winds he was not able to golf the 2nd day and he was disappointed. But that can be Scotland!. Due to the winds a brace should be available to keep windows open. A small feidge……
“Owners accommodated us arriving late and leaving early which was most appreciated, room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Would definitely use again”
“Check in was easy. The staff was very nice. Main reception said we could get something to eat at the restaurant at 11:30 AM - not true. They did not open for lunch until noon. The rooms were spacious. There was a loud party in the private dining / party area. Luckily they got more quiet around 10 PM. Breakfast was good. ”
