“Other than parking for the boats every thing was great”

“I know now where to stay every time I go to Gainesville. If you are looking for warmth and charm, and want something that resonates the south with its pretty gardens, Spanish moss, and trickling fountains, then this is it. I love bed and breakfasts for this very reason— the homely feeling. You can’t get that anywhere else. So glad we booked here. Very quiet place, was so surprised to see how many people were actually in the house when we went down for breakfast. You’d NEVER know based on how……

“This was a really fun place to stay. The hosts were great - willing to chat or not, your choice. The room itself was large and comfy; the bathroom well-appointed. The breakfast was fantastic - so many choices, and they would cook for you or you could sit and chat with other travelers while eating the donuts, biscuits, cereal, meats, juices, etc. There is a hot tub out back, which was a real bonus. I will go back if staying in that area.”

Breakfast was great -- they worked around my schedule, printed documents I needed for court, packed my breakfast to go for an early departure, made restaurant and other recommendations, pleasant, relaxing, peaceful, beautiful. “Mark was an incredible host. He made me feel so welcome - like we had been friends for years! He was always available if needed, but not intrusive. I loved how quiet the house was and I enjoyed meeting and feeding all of his kitties. We even found a rabbit exploring the neighborhood - hopefully he found his way to safety. The home is very old Florida style, so it may not suit some fancy travelers but for anyone on a budget who wants to feel like they are at a friend's house - this is your spot.”
