“It is a nicely renovated and kept historical building. The hotel is very nice, comfortable and the rooms are spacious and well set up. Bar, restaurant, outside patio, Speakeasy are great. “We absolutely loved our stay at the Hackett. The room was great, the area is walkable and has lots of options for dining. Small warning, you do have to climb stair to get to the room. ”

“The only two downsides were a lack of WiFi and cell service (only available in the main house) and no GPS. They do send you very detailed directions, but if you are wholly unfamiliar with the area, it can be a little unsettling to be on winding roads outside of civilization with no cell service. I admittedly panicked (we drove for 12 straight hours overnight), and our friend was on the verge of declaring us missing because he couldn't get in touch with us. “The property was all newly renovated and modern and clean. We did find that the shower was a bit backwards (the hot water came out of the cold setting and visa versa). Also the shower door was missing an important stop so the glass hits the screw instead of the stop to prevent the door from breaking (we had this experience at another hotel and the glass completely shattered). We mentioned the problem with the shower door to one of the housekeepers but he was not interested. We suggest this……

“Needed a place to stay after a college football game in town. Perfect location. Friendly staff. The room was comfortable and clean. Stopped in the bar after the football game for a few cold ones and everyone was nice and fun to chat with. This place is a great bang for your buck spot! ”
