Absolutely hands down exceeded expectations! The room was spacious, and beautifully appointed. The location could not be beat - we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go (minus a drive to the beach, which was short). We will stay here every time we come to Charleston!!!

We had a wonderful stay here. We were in the main building which is adjacent to a club or something where there was loud music pretty late into the night. We’re not light sleepers, so it didn’t affect us too much, but if you were staying with kids, it might be too much. The options for parking were also pretty limited and therefore expensive. From afternoon to afternoon (overnight) we ended up paying something like $30/day. The staff did not give any options for parking besides the valet options. Overall, very clean, very pretty. We enjoyed our stay.

Great stay
My wife and I had a great stay. The owners live in the front house of the cottage. Great people, they actually gave us a tour of their house which was pre civil war. Will stay here again.

Comfortable quaint studio in the middle of everything!
We loved our little spot at Lodge Alley Inn! We had a studio that was the perfect size for two friends traveling together. It was clean and had everything we needed. The location is impeccable! We were right in the middle of everything downtown & only a short walk to some of the most iconic things. We will definitely stay here again!

Great Atmosphere
Loved our room and the location was great. Walked everywhere but grabbed an Uber to take in the ball game. Parking was $18/night around the corner in a parkade which we thought was reasonable considering what it costs at home. Only downside to our stay was the loud band playing in the lounge below. We ended up going down and had an awesome time with appies and drinks at the High Cotton. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. They stopped playing around 10 and all was quiet after that.

Wonderful location
This place is a perfect spot to see Charleston. There are great restaurants and shops within easy walking. We parked our car in a nearby garage and didn’t need it while we were there. The room is spacious and felt very comfortable. We are planning on going back there soon!

Enjoyable 6-day stay.
Loved the room - it was on the 3rd floor with a balcony, large, clean, everything we needed. The staff was friendly. Coffee was available during the day. Very nice courtyard to relax, read, have a drink. Had to park the car in a parking garage, but it was nearby. Great location to restaurants, theaters, the water, the market and shopping. Will stay here again.

Beautiful Historic Building
The building is historic and beautiful, and the location is central to everything historic. The only warning is that this property will trap you at check-in and try to sell you a timeshare package. They are annoying because you can't get up the elevator without them stopping you. They also suddenly charge your credit card a month before when it is so early that you don't realize who it is for or recognize the name, so you think it is a fraud charge.

This is a timeshare property but we had no pressure to attend anything even though they asked. Location is hod gor eating and walking main tourist areas dowtown. Also noisy and busy at night with mixed verdict on noise level in room: okay most of the time. I loved that the laundry was free and convenient but dont spend the money to valet park as $18 a night parking is close by. I was a bit underwhelmed by rooms and other amenities-no full kitchen, for example.

It was a suite. It had a fridge/freezer. Microwave. Some dishes and utensils. The location was perfect. Close to everything for those visiting for the city market and sites. Easy Uber to other areas. I walked up the street about a half mile to the grocery store to get snacks and other food to have. It was lovely. Skip the concierge, which is a time share schtick. I just said I already booked my excursions, which I had through viator. You can also book through the places on East Bay. Carriage ride if you have kids. Walking tour if older. You can rent "city" bikes out front, but this is not a bike friendly town. I'd did bit enjoy upper King area, so this location was much better. Five stars.
