“Winchelsea is a fascinating historic place. The ancient New Inn is a central part of it. For a night's stay it's fine: our room was comfortable enough and had a good view. Breakfast and supper offered average pub fare. What the New Inn really needs is fresh investment: the public areas are tired and e.g. our TV/ remote was worn out.”

“We enjoyed our stay at Guestling Hall Hotel and were welcomed at the door by Chad, who was polite and courteous. The room was beautifully decorated and warm at all times. The breakfast was hot, as I like it,and very tasty and plentiful. If you wish to have fresh filtered coffee, just ask, at no extra cost. “Meeting up with lots of my relatives was great. Yes, the room was clean, but the kettle was not working for my early morning cup of tea (I didn't use it the previous evening)! The staff were efficient, sympathetic and friendly, but were unable to get a replacement kettle to me. Also, when I booked, I did say that I needed a gluten-free diet but the biscuits in the room were not gluten-free! I consider that the cost for one night's stay was expensive, being the full price for two people in a……
