The staff was friendly. I was disappointed to find a cockroach in the indoor pool and was a little confused about not having a shuttle available to take us to local attractions. They said they did not have a shuttle, but 2 were parked in the lot. I think they meant they did not have a driver, but when I booked the room, I was under the impression that shuttle service to the ball game would be available.

We had a wonderful time for our 1-year anniversary. The room was very spacious and we had a balcony. I was very pleased with everything. The only thing I was not happy about was the fact that they did not accept cash. My husband is a firm believer in cash and he does not like banks. We almost always pay with cash everywhere we go. We should have been notified about that long before the day of so we could have prepared for that. I was just lucky that my bank allowed overdraft and I was able to rush to a bank on Saturday morning 30min away to put the money back in my account before being charged. That was very inconvenient for us because we was on vacation.

The shower didn’t drain, while taking a shower the refrigerator didn’t work in the room, definitely outdated and they only had two elevators working when everyone in the hotel trying to use them, taking a long time to get to the rooms. Staff wasn’t friendly at all. Overall not a great experience at all. I know nothing will be done about it, but I hope they do something about this.

Next Labor Day 2026 I will make sure I actually select a room with the view I was hoping to get for me and my son and reserve it way in advance. He's autistic, loves fireworks but not the loud sounds and the large crowd. This year the view required us to view the fireworks outside of the hotel. It's traditional with us so see you in 2026. Thank you

Toilet did not flush. Checked in, ran my belongings to my room. Urinated, to find the toilet did not flush. Totally discussed, I couldn’t make myself shower. I had my family to go down to the public bathroom for the remainder of our stay. YUCK

The good: - The view from our balcony on the 17th floor was breathtaking - The food and view at the 18th Restaurant was fantastic - The staff and manager at the 18th were wonderful - Quick cheap food options within walking distance - If you're up for a hike, you can walk to and across the bridge to find great parks and eating establishments in the City (otherwise short cheap rides with uber can get you there in just a few minutes) - Room was clean and very comfortable - Hotels motif is very unique and gives you something different and elegant compared to other hotels The bad: Honestly no complaints and we got much more than we bargained for during our stay.

I have stayed before beautiful view but this time I decided to get two rooms with a water front for my parents that are seniors. I booked through Expedia like I always do. I drive 8 hours to find out that I had to pay for parking and two deposits which I called before to the hotel and was assured that price and total cost was correct. I finally arrived and ended up with one room because the price was 230 dollars more the hotel blamed Expedia and Expedia blamed hotel . It was a mess hotel said that’s why they suggest book through them not third party . Anyway the room was old tub old had to switch rooms because the view of road and they put me in a bigger room since my parents were with me . They offered nothing to help out . I will stay somewhere else next time .

Upon arriving i share with the front desk that the toilet flushed funny. I was told maintenance would be sent to the room. I agreed because i was moving my daughter into college and would be gone majority of the evening. Well, 545a woke up to use the bathroom and the toilet didnt flush. Spoke with the front desk and since there wasnt overnight maintenance. We were moved from room 1723 to room 1125. Which was an inconvenience to say the least. When we were leaving when asked how was my stay I told the young lady what happened. She said she would make a note and have a manager call me back and that she would note to make some accommodations for the inconvenience, she mentioned that the managers were good at following up with customers concerns. Well, i called 4 different times leaving 2 voicemails & 2 front desk notes. No manager returned a call, then i stayed at the hotel 08/14-08/16. The hotel didnt close the chatges until 08/26. So, in taking 2 weeks to finalize the charges not once did the hotel call me regarding my issue. I had hopes that this stay would have been great but my experience was definitely sub-par. I would not go back now because of the management not following. The only thing i wish had match the food and nice people. But the management dropped the ball to fix this situation.
