Mark was an incredible host. He made me feel so welcome - like we had been friends for years! He was always available if needed, but not intrusive. I loved how quiet the house was and I enjoyed meeting and feeding all of his kitties. We even found a rabbit exploring the neighborhood - hopefully he found his way to safety. The home is very old Florida style, so it may not suit some fancy travelers but for anyone on a budget who wants to feel like they are at a friend's house - this is your spot.

Parking was okay. Kitchen was shared and we did no cooking. Bathroom not so nice. Pipe in sink leaked so message was posted to use just a little water. Toilet did not flush well. Owner had to flush it for me twice. A/C unit too small for converted garage where bed was. Really hard to sleep on futon with a foam overlay due to valleys and uneven sides. It was very hot also. Owner was cordial; however. Nothing to do in area.

IF YOU'RE READING THIS.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! The place is old, dilapidated, full of bugs, and reeks of mold, old sewer, cats which their are 4, stale opened cans of cat food, and cat piss. I initially rented the room for 2 days in a pinch and the cheap price caught my eye,and although the 1st 2 days were unbearable I wasn't able to find anywhere else affordable before the 2 days were up but anywhere else would had been better. I was propositioned to rent the room for a month at 550 which seems like a deal but it's not worth trouble of waking up sweating with bugs as large as my middle finger next to the bed. The room itself is hot despite the small window ac which barely works. The owner of the home enters the room you paid for when you leave at will and turns off the ac so it's even hotter when you get back and smells even worse. It's a shared bathroom and the pipes on the sink leaks when you barely use them so don't plan on shaving or brushing your teeth in it or the owner will complain. Inside the home is so hot you have to make multiple trips from the bathroom to the hot bedroom to stand in front of the ac to cool off or else you'll be drenched in sweat. Their are bed bugs, roaches, and sewer bugs that make their way into your room and you will see them throughout the house. I asked for a partial payment back after staying 8 out of 30 days but the owner Mark has already spent the money. This place should not be listed and need to be taken down. Not up to code 0 of 10
