“It's a very nice hotel with plenty of charm and a really nice location. Cruise ships and other large ships come right past and it's not far of a walk to the main beach area and Pleasure Beach and was nice and quiet for our stay. Hard to fault the hotel in general. Breakfast was very nice as well. Staff were friendly.
The rooms were roomy and looked nice but unfortunately the pieces didn't add up to what I had hoped for. It was a hot weekend and fortunately quiet so we could have the window……

“The location is excellent but a lot of traffic noise.
The hotel staff are very good and friendly. Food is mediocre.
The worst part is simply the cleanliness of public areas.
I’ve stayed there many times and despite pointing many things out (I didn’t even get an acknowledgement) lots of areas are filthy. A good example is the window ledge on the main staircase. It’s covered in dust, dead flies and cobwebs.
What is disappointing is that all these areas could be cleaned in minutes with a vacuum and……

“The room was basic but very clean. Only downsie was that somebody had forgotten to empy the bin in the room before I got there and I had to ask for the heating to be put on as the 1st night was very cold, it did go on late in the evening on the 2nd night so all goo, but overall nice place, spot on staff and will stay again! ”
