「This property was really beautiful and the staff were so kind! Unfortunately as it's an older building, there is no lift to the rooms so it probably won't be accessible to people with mobility challenges. 」

「One of my favourite places to stay! Beautiful countryside. Lovely comfortable, characterful rooms with horse racing theme! Friendly staff, and excellent freshly cooked breakfasts made with locally sourced ingredients. Plenty of parking. We stayed on a Tuesday when the main restaurant is closed, but enjoyed our evening meal at the White Goose Pizza Co. which is only minutes walk away.」

My room 101 was a nice location, full view of the Scotch Corner roundabout and could see the snow and when it was clear so l could get on my way to continue my journey to Scotland. 「This is a beautifully appointed cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's in a quiet location looking out onto a courtyard. Although there is no onsite parking, we had no trouble finding a parking space on the square. Visitors should also be aware that there is no outdoor seating area but we were out and about so this wasn't a problem for us.
