“I loved being here and plan to go back soon. It's idyllic. Beautifully kept and presented; with very kind and professional staff. I didnt know what time the event I was attending nearby would end; and as soon as I came back they brought me a wonderful platter of fish and much more. Saying theyd rather I had it prepared freshly than keep it waiting. Beside a river, in glorious, quiet countryside with the dramatic fells above; I can't wait to stay longer and explore the area. Can't recommend……

“The Inn is perfectly located for enjoying Kirkby Stephen. The staff - especially Jacqui - is super helpful and kind. Really enjoyed our brief time there. Our friends who stayed down the street were wishing they had booked here. Be prepared to carry luggage upstairs and know the bed isn’t super big by American standards. ”

“What a great stay at the White Hart Inn. Set in the middle of Hawes, wonderful breakfast and dinners, and a recently renovated room that was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and polite. Would recommend.”

“The property was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was a combination of a buffet and cooked to order. There was a good choice and plentiful. Hawes itself suits adults better than children although the Wensleydale Cheesery is good for all ages.”

“Excellent restaurant, quick service by friendly, helpful staff and super food. Two problems that occurred - firstly, it was a warm, muggy day and night and there were no fans available in any of the rooms. Thankfully, I was travelling by car and had a rotary fan in my boot 'just in case' so I was okay, but most of the guests had a dreadful night as there was no air movement even if you could open the windows (they barely opened). The second problem was finding the hotel as my Sat Nav sent me……

“Ideal for a couple break, in my opinion, not as much for solo business travelling. Rooms are hot but fan was provided when asked. It’s an old building bathrooms could a be bit nicer but feeling of the hotel is great. All beautifully maintained outside and excellent spot for walking. Hence 5 stars review”

“This is a quirky hotel that ticks the boxes if you fancy something different,has a real castle feel,the staff here are tremendous,they will do anything for you without coming across as intrusive,we really enjoyed our night here and can’t wait to come back,my Parents have booked a 2 night stay here on my recommendation.”
