"It really met expectations. I didn't expect first rate accommodations, and I didn't get it. Mostly a clean, comfortable room. Good mattress and just OK pillows. Dark room... great! Just OK breakfast, but better than many. Some off-putting 'eco', and probably legislated oddities, like a 'Master Switch' (not key-card operated) at the door which not only controls the lights and outlets, but also resets the HVAC. Whaaa? The HVAC will not go lower than 19 degrees C (66 degrees F). I sleep hot and...

"Great location to explore Edinburgh. The rooms felt a little clinical with not much character, but were very comfortable. Great choice of breakfast. Good choice of restaurants and bars around and really close to Edinburgj castle. We chose the hotel partly becuase of the sky bar with the view, but this was only open on weekends, and children are not allowed, which had we known we may have chosen a different hotel. Overall a comfortable stay and lovely hotel."
