“Very spacious, but no pots, dishes or anything to be able to cook in the kitchen. No coffee machine, no toaster. The bed is not queen size it is full size which is smaller. There were not extra linens or a thicker blanket. Also no hair drier, neither tissues. Basic things that hotels or even motels have, they didn't have. But t was a very spacious studio apartment.”

“I booked this this cabin after reading one review that said "best surprise". And i have to agree! This cabin advertised as able to sleep 6 and it fit our family of four perfectly (Mom, dad, 13yo, 9yo). The cabin was just off the main strip, sat right on the beach, and was so clean! (Rose Marie, the housekeeper, had the place looking and smelling brand new, i hated to let my boys go inside, lol!) I will highly recommend this place to my friends and will remember this for any future trips. Of the……

“We loved our stay at Red Oak. My family was visiting from Ireland, and this was the perfect place for us to stay together where all the kids could enjoy ample pool time. The home was spotless and well-appointed, and much larger than it looks in photos. The neighborhood is peaceful and very conveniently located. I think a regular trip to Red Oak will become a family tradition for us!”

“We loved the house. It was very clean and roomy. This house was built to be lived in. What a great location for a day visit to Macinaw Island or bridge access and northern Michigan. Some highlights: Red Tail Fox in back yard, Extra cedar sun room ( favorite morning coffee place), very comfortable beds and furnishings, Very Very clean, Fire pit with lots of outdoor seating, full kitchen, terrific master bedroom with spa tub and big walk-in showers. “We booked this property for a last minute get away and we were pleasantly surprised! The room was cute and clean. The property owner was responsive and helpful. Parking was great and it was wonderfully situated close to shopping & restaurants. We could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go. The bathroom could use updating, but that maybe in the works as it sounds like the property may have changed hands recently? This isn’t the Ritz-Carlton nor should people expect it to be. “Amazing! We lived in Charlevoix 55 yrs ago as newlyweds in the Coast Guard. Husband spoke with Earl Young to rent the Half House. Couldn’t afford at 150 mo!!! ! So this was soo fun. Beach down the hill, town is walk able everywhere. It’s pretty much original so enjoy the history of it!!! We’ll be back!”
