“We booked a one-night experience for ourselves, our two sons and their respective wives at this highly rated facility as part of our vacation. We arrived early for our check-in, so one of three rooms was available which was fine. The rooms were large but had a musty smell when we entered. The bed was comfortable, but most of the amenities are dated. That said, this was meant to be a “lodge”, so our expectations may have been too high. “Everything was wonderful. Stayed for my Husbands birthday. He really loved the comfort of the bed and pillows. We would really like to know the brand of the pillows. Very quiet and staff were exceptionally helpful. ”

“Moder, clean rooms w/jacuzzi tub and private outdoor deck. In floor heating; no noisy AC unit. Nice grounds to walk with our dog (pet friendly). Host provided outside movie and got a fire going. Hot breakfast (scrambled & sausage) plus good fruit, cottage cheese, yoghurt with usual coffee and selection of teas. Friendly staff who want to help. Property is well off the road and so peaceful. Restaurants are 5-8 mins away but parking is challenging as these are popular.”

“We loved staying here! My girlfriend and I stayed here on New Year's Eve and had a great stay. The inn is quaint and quiet, which made for a really pleasant way to ring in the new year. The room we had was very comfortable and unique. We drank wine at the wine bar in the lobby for most of our evening, and sat by the fireplace in our room for the rest of the time. Breakfast in the morning was really tasty as well, with a lot of different options. We would highly recommend this place to anyone……

“Cozy place to rest and enjoy the nature at the same time. The hotel is in front of the river which makes you have a beautiful view always. The free breakfast is really good! In addition, the restaurant of the hotel has an amazing chef whom makes all the food delicious.The German couple made this place magical. Totally recommend! ”

“Clean room, friendly staff. Power was out for a little bit, due to weather, but they had a backup generator. Convenient location.”

“While we did not need to cook. We could have! The kitchenette was well equipped. The coffee maker and provided coffee were a welcome treat. My wife appreciated the cleanliness and comfort. The internet connection was solid and fast enough for our needs. The staff is well managed and helpful. We look forward to out next stay.”

“We came in winter and we were the only one group of guest on that day. Room is not large but enough for two people. Water pressure for shower is not as good as normal hotel, which may due to their location.”

“I loved my stay at the VF hotel. There was a mix up when i arrived, but it was quickly fixed with a short call to the owners from the gal working there in the restaurant (who was extremely friendly and helpful). I loved the convenience of self-check-in and out and having the restaurant and bar underneath, which was amazing. Valley Ford has come a long way since i was raised in the area in the 80s and it is adorable and bustling with quaint eating establishments, the robust market, and the old……
