Excellent accommodation

Wonderful accommodation with plenty of room for 6. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend staying here - booking, paying and communication were all excellent - thank you so very much

Beautiful location

Bring your own toiletries and towels. We paid a cleaning fee but were still asked to strip the beds and empty the bins. Best not to ask guests to strip the beds if there are stains on pillows or mattresses. Be aware if taking more than 1 car as we only received 1 fob and the phone number for provided is for reception who have no control over the gate. We were rushing to get to funeral and had to wait for another car to arrive to let us through the barrier.

The location & site facilities are great. Perfect for what we needed with a toddler & multi generation group. We all felt however that the lodge needs some significant maintenance & upgrading. All of the mattresses are very lumpy & most bedding has seen better days too. Hand towel in the bathroom was dirty. Window latches broken & all windows have wood chipping away. Decking was filthy, with a dirty brush & shovel left out there. Table & chairs all filthy with a concrete slab on top of table.Lodge sleeps 6 & we were a party of 5, but dining table only has 4 chairs. Only 3 wine glasses & all different sizes & shapes. Limited kitchen utensils in the drawer. I moved the position of 2 of the beds slightly & found rubbish & food remnants underneath. Overall a good stay, we knew it wasn’t going to be fancy, but definitely needs some safety & maintenance attention, plus a more thorough clean between guests.
