"perks- we stayed in cabana #7. it sat right in front of the water so easy access for swimming and kayaking. our cabana was spacious. wish they had a a sofa so we moved the ottoman at the foot of the bed. the grounds is simply refreshing and tranquil. only sound you hear are the waves and birds. such a peaceful place to unwind. the bartender made the best negroni in all of bacalar!!! downside- is there no air conditioning but they provided us with 4 fans. it didn’t get cold as we had hoped. also the pillows were so flat. i wish it had more cushion. even when we used two, it still was uncomfortable so we rolled up the towel as a neck pillow for support. suggestion- do the daily yoga, participate in the sound bath & fire, tour the santuary and the agricultural grounds. the farm keeper had us taste a lot of the plants and flowers."

"I really enjoyed staying in this beautiful place. The staff was amazing and accommodating. Despite of the amazing experience, there are two things that I hope Cristalino can have in mind to further improve it's guests experiences. I was able to hear the movement of furniture, screeching on the floor, people laughing, and moving things from a room next door. I am not sure what they can do other than asking the neighbors to quiet it down but Im wondering if maybe they can improve how the sound travels between the rooms as my downstairs neighbors also struggled with the noise. My sleep was interrupted by that but the staff was able to to minimize the noise by telling their guests to quiet down. Another thing that was unpleasant is how they communicated that they would charge me the pillow cases that my hair dye damaged. Although they were understanding and made an exception in not charging me, sending me a picture of it came through as passive aggressive and that did dampen my mood."

"This is my fourth or fifth time at this beautiful property. Rooms are big and spacious, pool is fantastic, restaurant is amazing and staff are very friendly. Not really much to do after sundown ecept, eat. drink and maybe hang out. In the pool. It would be nice if there are more activities in the evening."
