“The room was very clean and tidy, the staff were friendly, and the bed was large and comfortable. The room had air conditioning, and the hotel is dog-friendly. Overnight charging was available for £15, and my car was fully charged by the morning. Overall, I was very satisfied with everything and would definitely stay here again.”

“A comfortable stay in a clean, basic room. I was dropping my kid off at Durham, and needed an affordable, nearby place. This came up on an Expedia search. About 30min away from her college, and we took the opportunity to drive 5 min down to Horden Beach for a walk, which is lovely.
We checked in at the bar, which was busy. They were not serving food, but encouraged us to get takeaway (there's a Chinese chippy next door) and provided us plates and cutlery. Their drinks are inexpensive.

“First and foremost the property was clean, functional and offered value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, although our experience of room service was let down by dirty cups being left.
We found the hotel lacked character, everything about it was functional and not interesting. This extended to the breakfast, our experience of which was behind not eating supper there. This is not a criticism of the hotel, it is my view.
Based on reviews I expected a little more than we got.……
