"The space is extremely clean and well-stocked with towels, pillows, blankets, etc. There's a lot of attention to detail and convenience, such as mirrors where you'd want them to put on your makeup. The neighborhood is quiet, calm, and a quick walk to downtown to save you on having to pay for parking (which is not free anywhere we could find). Farmers market on Thursday was lovely!"

"The location is great because it gives you two parking spots downtown where public parking costs 4 dollars an hour. We parked and were able to walk everywhere we wanted to visit the whole weekend. The facility was quiet and very clean. The apartment was light and cozy. There was plenty of bedding, clean towels & toiletries. The daybeds in the main living room were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with all the dishes & utensils we needed for light meals. Definitely would recommend."

"Andrea the host is great but VRBO is a terrible company through which to rent the apartment. VRBO added charges that were not known to her or to me as a guest. This included a very high service fee as well a damaged protection fee. In addition Andrea charges per night were significantly less than what VRBO charged. "The property is in a great location! Easy to walk to everything downtown. Beds were very comfy and everything was easy to find and use. I do wish there were thicker curtains as there are many windows and it gets bright in the morning. Great stay! "This is the second time we stayed at The Retreat. LOTS of space inside and out for our family to gather. "The website photos make this place look very upscale, in actuality, the rooms are basic and the pool is small, it has a nice pool bar/food area, but nothing special. The photos make this seem very resort-like. It’s basically a very old hotel and the lobby was remodeled. You walk in and are impressed, then you get to the room. Crusty and smelled like urine, didn’t seem very clean. "
