“This property was old which wasn't a problem it was quaint but the fern room was comically small, felt like the top half of a barn, like the whole building was probably a barn. The room had ladybugs & flys, the ladybugs didn't bother me but the flys were making horrible buzzing sounds & we couldn't sleep so we had to kill the flys but left the ladybugs alone. Other flys never came back so that was good, perhaps someone left a door open. You could easily hear the rooms nearby like a simple radio……

“We had a wonderful experience staying at the Black Lantern Inn. The Inn is location on the main street, and very easy to find. We didn't get to the property until 1:00 AM, and the property were decorated with Christmas lighting, which made it cozy and super easier find the place, especially when it was so dark out. There's a small parking lot between the two buildings, and our room was in the Burdette House. The buildings are vintage, but the room has all the towels and basic shampoos, and……

“We enjoyed our stay at the inn especially coming to a hot tub after a whole day on the slopes. Breakfast was delicious and coffee was always fresh. Our room was nice and clean with a wonderful view to the mountain. We were on the lower floor so we could hear a lot of noise from the guests upstairs which was the only downside. ”

“Jay Peak is one of our favorite places. We have been going for 10 years. The snow is great, the food is delicious and there are friendly people. But the service seems to be getting a little less friendly and the cost is going up. The ski school has policies that aren’t parent friendly and may have safety implications. There are more and more hidden costs, and the staff seemed annoyed when we needed some fresh towels. It’s not convenient to get small kids to lessons in the morning. It also seems……

“Everything with the room itself was great. It was clean and in a great location. My issue with this reservation was the amenities. They are not inlcluded. So even though the listing says they have pools and hot tubs, don't expect to be able to use them unless you pay more when you get there. This should be made clear to anyone that books at this resort. ”
