Wonderful Stay, Lovely House, Great Hosts

The house and property are wonderful, complete with a beautiful sunset view. The house has everything one needs and more-- kitchen stuff, linens, great deck and on and on. The hosts are very nice--attentive and lovely. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

House with great views

Pulling onto the street to see the view lead to the water was such a pleasure. The open layout and full windows throughout the second floor were wonderful. Given the time of year the gas fireplace provided a charming atmosphere. We enjoyed walking from the house to the beach at the end of the street. The sky colors at sunset were beautiful.

Always happy on Chappy!

This was a wonderful place to kick back for an extended weekend and temper the crowds and traffic of the mainland with the quiet that is easily found on Chappaquiddick. The house was perfect for two couples with two king bedrooms and private baths. While there are two other bedrooms (both with two twin beds) we chose not to fill them! Upstairs the main living area is open, airy and spacious, with plenty of comfortable furniture and a well-stocked kitchen. We did not have any complaints; and the evening we spent down the lane on the water to watch the sunset, and then the moon rise, was just perfection!

Family and friends gathering for a wedding on Chappy-great house and location.

This well kept home is beautiful, comfortable, unique and in a great location close to the beach. Entering on the ground floor there are three comfortable bedrooms (we all slept very well). The master bedroom’s attached bath has a door to the outdoor shower area. The other king sized bedroom also has outside access, and it shares a full bath with the twin bedroom. We appreciated that the air conditioning can be controlled in each room separately, for some of us sleep with it on and others liked the windows open. Walking upstairs on the curved staircase leads to the roomy living space with plate glass windows and multiple sliding doors that have beautiful views and allow for great air flow. The octagon cathedral ceiling is stunning. The sunset views are amazing. The furniture is comfortable, the kitchen is very well stocked, there is an 8 seat high top table and stools as well as 3 stools at the kitchen peninsula. There is a fourth bedroom with twin beds on this main level and a 1/2 bath (the bathrooms are all modern, very nice and the showers have rainfall shower heads (in addition to the regular shower heads)) . The large wrap around deck has a dining table as well as a sitting area. It felt like a special house to be in, is very livable and every time we walked up that staircase the views took our breath away. If you have kayaks they can be launched at the end of the street into the bay, and if you like the beach the Trustees of the Reservation property is very close by - $5 per person or you can buy a sticker for your car a various prices if you are going to go a lot. There are a few Trustees properties on Chappy and your sticker or daily fee is good at all of them. Enjoy!

Amazing, peaceful retreat on Chappy!

Top-notch place and experience. This house is exactly as advertised and is extremely well stocked, spacious, and very comfortable. The location is ideal for anyone looking for proximity to the beach and something away from the crowds - very peaceful, quiet, secluded location. Lisa could not have been more helpful or responsive - one of the best overall experiences I've had with VRBO and home rentals in general. Highly recommend - we definitely plan to return!

Perfect Chappy Experience

This is simply a wonderful Chappy house that's a short walk to Katama bay, near Wasque. The house has a smart upside-down layout, with three of the four bedrooms and the laundry downstairs and a large living room/kitchen area upstairs that is surrounded by an ample deck with great views of the bay. The house has modern comforts (good kitchen, gas fireplace WiFi, satellite TV, good water pressure, etc.) but still feels like a Chappy beach house, not a hotel, and is clean, very well maintained, and pleasantly decorated. Lisa was a pleasure to deal with, and very responsive, both in the booking process and during our stay. Our only regret is that we couldn't bring our yellow lab!

Lovely Location. Very relaxing. If we stay in Chappaquiddick in the future we will make sure to rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle as beach access is the thing here on this bit of Martha's Vineyard.

Wonderful Home

This beautiful home is wonderfully decorated and immaculately clean. The couches and beds were comfortable. The view was spectacular. The upper deck was perfect for morning coffee or a sunset cocktail. Owners were readily available to answer any questions.

Lux escape on beautiful Chappy!

Just returned from a fantastic week! The house is gorgeous (those views!) and equipped with everything one needs, plus lots of thoughtful touches that truly made it feel like home. We vacationed with another family and the house was perfect for four adults and four kids. The owners are lovely and responded quickly to all questions. Chappy is the best part of the Vineyard - no crowds and gorgeous beaches everywhere. Highly recommend. We were so sad to leave this house and already plan to return.
