Nice hotel in a very central location and cleanly maintained with all basic amenities. Missed the shampoo and body lotion in the bathroom, but other than that, mostly it was decent and comfortable.

Excellent location for train travelers, and tourists!! Easy spacious elevators. Room is VERY tiny (almost like being in a budget room on a ship), but brilliantly compacted with everything needed including ac and white noise (sound of rippling water) at night. Well-engineered with high-tech controls, which was nice. The bathroom did evidence some mould and dirt in the corners. Convenient if hungry, as a restaurant is on site. Good cup of coffee is complementary.

The rooms are clean but small. We had issues with the temperature (it was hot and stuffy and the heating unit wouldn’t go any lower) and the lighting (no option for light in the bathroom without the whole room being lit up) but for a one night stay it was fine! Staff were friendly and helpful with luggage storage and the hotel has a great location - close to Waverley Station and just below the Royal Mile.

Staff was nice enough. Rooms smaller than expected, bed made for long legged people. I am med height woman, past prime, had to crawl into the bed with one way to get on/off. Bath tiny, no additions (had to ask for TP), they couldn't offer me a toothbrush when my suitcase was delayed, shower leaked all night, one chair, no table. Tiny space. I wouldn't recommend if you have a hard time climbing.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was small but well thought out and big enough for two to get ready for bed and sleep. The room and hallway were very quiet at night. The air conditioning was broken and room was very stuffy. Staff provided a small fan but the temperature was uncomfortable. Breakfast was great with enough choices for everyone.

The location was the best and the air conditioning was great!! We had to ask for two more pillows since you only get one each. The seat had stains on them though. Other than that, we had a good stay.
