They were renovating. But still good. The only real complaint is it’s pretty far away from the core. You have to take the bus instead of the tram which is less convenient. But great staff.

This hotel was very quiet, which was wonderful. The location was decent as it was close to Portobello Beach and had a bus stop right in front of the hotel that took us directly to the Royal Mile. The price was good for what we got, would have loved if the staff was a lot more helpful rather than just pointing at their brochure board when asked questions.

We stayed at this property in Aug -2026 for around 3 days-Aug 2 to Aug 4. We reached the property and was disappointed to learn that our rooms were not even ready , the reception desk rushed to allocate a room which was way different than the the rooms booked although we were charged a early check in fee (we reached 3 hours before)(the room was smaller and the amenities were missing) When reported the variance in the rooms booked (as per the pics) then we were offered a new room upstairs which was again too uncomfortable and very unclean, there were cob webs at the corner of the ceilings , which was way disgusting and uncomfortable to sleep . The price of the property paid doesn't match our expectations, I also have pictures about the cob webs , my kid was scared to sleep in that room, and we didn't feel comfortable at all staying there, a very gloomy experience over all.

This is a well-located hotel on several bus routes with a handy Tesco next door. The room was clean and comfortable despite showing its age in places, and both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of hot and cold food in unlimited supply. However, the hotel needs a bit of an overhaul, which perhaps it's currently getting according to some posted signs. The restaurant is in a sad state overall, with carpets and furnishings very worn and stained, and badly in need of replacement. The 50-year-old steakhouse (where breakfast is also served) was hardly open outside of breakfast hours, and the bar closed at 10 on the rare nights it was actually open. Staff availability seems to be an issue, but we must say that the staff at breakfast worked hard and were very pleasant. We would return for the location and the breakfast but hope to find a refreshed hotel next time.

La chambre est super et correspond tout à fait à ce qu’on attend de ce genre d’hébergement. Literie très bonne. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment extra même si le bruit de la porte de la cuisine est dérangeant. Certains personnels sont très serviables et gentils, d’autres moins.
