“We stayed in the Chickadee cabin. It is a pretty new cabin and very nicely appointed kitchen. However, the description on Expedia is a bit off. It says it’s a “lake view” cabin. It is not. It’s a short walk to the lake. It also said it had a queen bed, but it has a queen bed in the bedroom plus a twin bunk bed in the hallway and two twin mattresses in the loft, so basically it can sleep six people. Two other cabins are basically the same layout. These are really nice cabins. Sparrow and Nuthatch……

“Eat at the restaurant at the hotel. It was the best. I’ll never have better north woods biscuits and gravy. Chicken tenders, burgers, fries, ribs, chicken parm were also all so good. It was great.”

“Walking in took my breath away. We could see lake from both sides of the kitchen living area. The suite we had was great for a couple but we could have added a couple kids. I wish we would have had time to use all of the amenities. We didn't get to use the fire pit or the canoe/kayaks but we did walk down to the point a few times; once with a picnic lunch and sat and read books while watching nature. There's an upper deck on the east side to watch the sunrise and a fire pit to watch the sunset……

“Quiet clean place”

“The view was wonderful, and the staff was very helpful. There was a smoky odor in the room, either from the fireplaces in the other units or from the firepit outside. The floor plan of the bathroom in the third-floor room was odd. The open door blocked the sink. We had a little trouble figuring out the A/C controls, so the room was a little too warm. We greatly appreciated the free EV charging stations. They were never ICEd while we were there. We underestimated how tiring the 32 stair steps……
