Had a great time!

My wife and I stayed here for a four-day weekend and had a wonderful time. The room was very nice and the breakfast buffet had lots of choices. The first night we were there we found out there was a wedding reception there! Oh no! We've stayed in other hotels where there were similar events and didn't get much sleep that night. But here at the Negroponte we didn't hear a thing, even though we were just one floor up from the ground floor. We enjoyed the fitness center and the indoor pool too. We tried to use the sauna, which was still hot from the previous users, but one of the staff scolded us for not knowing that it costs 10 euros an hour. How were we supposed to know this with no signs about it? "From the web site!" was the response. Hmmm. If that was our only negative experience in four days, we don't have anything to complain about.

Καταρχάς σχετικά με την τοποθεσία του ξενοδοχείου θα πρέπει να ενημερωθεί το ξενοδοχείο πως η τεράστια ταμπέλα που έχει δεξιά του δρόμου λίγο πριν, δεν φαίνεται καθόλου λόγο ενός δένδρου που βρίσκετε μπροστά της. Εκ πρώτης άποψης όλα φαίνονταν και ήταν πολύ ωραία. Οι υπάλληλοι ευγενικότατοι και εξυπηρετικότατοι. Το δωμάτιο αρκετά καλό αν εξαιρέσεις το γεγονός ότι το wifi ήταν ανύπαρκτο και το στρώμα του κρεβατιού ήταν κάθε άλλο παρά αναπαυτικό. Επίσης η τηλεόραση θα μπορούσε να έχει αντικατασταθεί με lcd και όχι αυτό της παλιάς τεχνολογίας "κουτί" που ήταν αντιαισθητικό σε σχέση με τη γενική εικόνα του ξενοδοχείου. Τέλος θεωρώ ότι η τιμή σε σχέση με αυτό που προσφέρει το ξενοδοχείο και για την συγκεκριμένη περίοδο ήταν λίγο τσιμπημένη.

A very good hotel near the beach

I don't think that is 5 star rating but 4. The people are very friendly. I do not like the beach front of the hotel, is very narrow. When I stayed the wi-fi was not available.

Great resort

The hotel was easy to find on the main road from Khalkis add Eritria. The hotel is located right on the sea front so easy swimming, although no beach in front of the hotel, one is close by and the pool was great with access to sun loungers not being a problem despite the hotel being busy. The best aspect of the hotel were the breakfast and evening buffets, great value for money.

Gutes Hotel in zentraler Lage der Insel Euböa

wir waren von der Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Hotelpersonals sehr positiv beeindruckt ! Besonders möchten wir Herrn Nikos erwähnen , welcher uns viele gute Tipps für die Besichtigung der Insel Euböa gegeben hat und auch sonst immer ein paar nette Worte gefunden hat und mit seiner stets guten Laune eine angenehme Ausstrahlung bewirkt . Wir waren mit dem Hotel Negroponte sehr zufrieden !

Tolle Lage direkt am Meer.

Für den Urlaub eines kinderlosen evtl. älteren Ehepaars oder mit ganz kleinen Kindern sehr toll. Pool praktisch direkt am Meer. Alles sehr gediegen, v.a. für griechische Verhältnisse. Aber für Teenager oder junge Leute vermutlich zu langweilig. Eretria in der Nähe bietet gutes Essen bei kleinen Restaurants direkt am Meer. Und für Kulturinteressierte gibt es viel zu sehen. Das Hotel hat immerhin auch ein Hallenbad und Fitnessraum. Preis/Leistung stimmt. Direktor relativ jung und sehr engagiert.

Superbe chambre avec vue sur la mer, buffet du petit déjeuner très bien, piscine intérieur et salle de sport sans plus (les photos donnaient l impression de bien mieux) personnel sans plus... Plage inexistante malheureusement... Dans l ensemble un très bien me semble une bonne note!

this is where one can go to unwind.

I came here for business and it was great. meals were of high quality and with fresh ingredients. the tomato soup is fantastic. the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. the rooms are comfortable. the mattresses are coco mat, and provide good support.

We had an extremely pleasant time in an excellent

As the purpose of the trip from GB was to try and trace my friend's ancestors(his great grandfather left Greece at the age of 11 and settled in Wales) ,it went extremely well.We drove down to Caristos and amazingly,on showing a photograph of one of his relatives to a person in a shop,were put into contact with members of his family within half an hour.This was the first attempt to trace his relatives and contributed to what was an excellent holiday.

Relaxing hotel and right on the edge of the sea

Excellent hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The only drawback is the lack of suitable walking routes into the local town, which is 2.5 kilometres along a busy road. However there is a fairly regular bus outside the gate and taxis are reasonable.

Very nice resort

This is a beautiful resort, in a perfect location on the island. The rooms are comfortable, large, and modern. The staff is helpful. This is a very family-friendly resort, and offers a lot of amenities. I would definitely come back.

Nice spot, but geared towards families w/children

The Negroponte Resort is a nice getaway from Athens and is situated in a lovely spot on the water. It was absolutely filled with families with young children so is not the quiet respite that some look for - but the rooms are very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. I suspect that after the high season, it might be a quieter place to visit, but I couldn't stay on the beach for more than 30 minutes after children started screaming non-stop. I love kids, but the hotel had not advertised itself as such. The breakfast and dinner were both good - not haute cuisine, but solid. Overall, I would visit again, but probably in the off season.

Όμορφη και πολυέξοδη διαμονή

Περάσαμε ένα όμορφο 3ήμερο με τη γυναίκα μου και τη 16 μηνών κόρη μας. Οι κοινόχρηστοι χώροι του ξενοδοχείου είναι αρκετά καλοί. Η πισίνα είναι καλή. Η παραλία και η θάλασσα είναι ακριβώς 3 μέτρα από την πισίνα αλλά δεν λένε τίποτε. Το φαγητό είναι πολύ καλο (φάγαμε πρωινό και βραδυνό μπουφέ) - έχει μεγάλη ποικιλία και υψηλή ποιότητα. Η καθαριότητα του δωματίου μέτρια. Η μοκέτα στο διάδρομο των δωματίων θέλει άλλαγμα - είναι αρκετά φθαρμένη. Το προσωπικό είναι εξυπηρετικό σε γενικές γραμμές. Γενικά ένα καλό ξενοδοχείο επαρχίας αλλά τουλάχιστον του Αγίου Πνεύματος που πήγαμε εμείς οι τιμές ήταν τσιμπημένες.

Το δωμάτιο έιχε θέα στην θάλασσα και ήταν ακριβώς στο κέντρο του ξενοδοχείου πάνω από την πισίνα. Καταπληκτικη θέα και μέσα απο το δωμάτιο αλλά και από το μπαλκόνι. Πολυ προσεγμένη διακόσμηση, μοκετες κρεβατια τοιχοι σε μπεζ, μαρμάρινο μπάνιο, άψογο σε σχέση με την καθαριότητα. Καταπληκτικό πρωινο, μεγαλη ποικιλια, και αν και επισημα το πρωινο τελειωνε στοσ 10:00 εν τουτοις κανεις δεν μας ζητησε να φυγουυμε ουτε κια αρχισαν να παιρνοθν πιατα απο το τραπεζι μας. Πολυ ευγενικοι. Γενικα μεγαλη ευγενεια απο το προσωπικο. Parking ανετα ειτε μπροστα απο το ξενοδοχειο ειτε σε διπλανο τεραστιο ιδιωτικο περιφραγμενο φωτιτιζομενο τα βραδια χωρο

Relaxing comfortable hotel in quiet resort

Very pleasant stay over 4 nights. Average but varied buffet food in beautiful restaurant but get there early for the better tables. Best hotel in the area though beach in front of hotel is nothing special.

sehr gut ausgestattetes Hotel - für Familien toll

Aufgrund der sehr guten Ausstattung und der ausgezeichneten Serviceleistungen des Hotels bewerten wir das Hotel mit 5* (ausgezeichnet). Man sollte in jedem Fall das hervorragende Frühstücks- und Abendbuffet bei der Buchung bereits mitbuchen. Der Poolbereich mit angrenzendem Bistro und sogar Bedienung an der Liege ist sehr großzügig und auch für Kinder hervorragend geeignet. - Alles in allem haben wir den fünftägigen Aufenthalt bei fairen Preisen sehr genossen und würden wieder einchecken ;-)

This is a really friendly and quiet hotel. All staff were very helpful, food was excellent and sunbeds were free and always available. There is nowhere to have a stride in the evening, but we knew this beforehand. We took a car and visited a lot of places, the island is so big, there are a lot of places to visit.
