“This was the best place I could have chosen for my week long visit to Valparaiso! Set atop a small hill a mile south of Sotomayor Square the guest house is in a more quiet neighborhood. This area is convenient for visiting the UNESCO areas, but much more peaceful and safe for walking around. The room (I chose #3) had a view of the garden/ courtyard and was always cool and comfortable even in the hot weather. Every morning there was a delicious breakfast and the hosts were very friendly and……

The hotel restaurant is fantastic, eagerly accommodating my gluten free diet. We loved the pool and hot tub and chatting with other guests. We highly highly recommend Casa Higueras!!!”

“This hotel is excellent. The location was very good. It was in a safe area and very quiet. The view from the room was spectacular. The bed was very comfortable and in a modern spacious room. The breakfast was excellent and the free drink each day was very nice touch. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I could not fault my stay here. Highly recommend.”

“We had the big top room with the huge balcony which was wonderful. It was lovely sitting outside taking in the amazing views. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen nice We loved staying in a traditional old building which felt like an event in itself. The building is quite scruffy and could definitely do with a lick of paint and some TLC. However, on balance this wasn't too important, to us. ”

“Nice big room and comfy bed. Had a kitchen, but no fridge. Super central location and very friendly staff. Only downside was the people staying in the room above, it's very loud from the steps, and it was quite annoying at sometimes. ”
