"Perfect for our visit to our children and grand children. The lake is across the street with the marina next door. Rented a pontoon boat, at a discounted rate for beautiful day with the kids. Minor problem getting in initially, but resolved by Jeanne quickly. Note that this is a renovated lake residence which has a second story rental which can get a bit noisy and the bathroom is in the rear of the house with the bedroom in the front. Overall will be returning in the future."

If you want to have coffee, bring your own as only available coffeemaker was a French Press. AC unit in living room area not sufficient to cool bedroom area, even on high with available standing fan."

"We had a great time at Highland Lake. The apartment was so comfortable, and larger than I would have thought from the description. It was convenient to town - the teens loved access to DQ, pizza shops, etc just a few minutes away. There were kayaks and a paddleboat we could borrow, which I somehow missed in the description - nice pluses! The lake access from the dock was perfect. "My husband and I stayed here during Lime Rock Parks Memorial Day weekend. It was perfect. Lovely location, great communication and easy check in. Bedding and towels were clean and soft. Kitchen had all you needed for basic meals. Nice Keurig coffee maker and pods:) Folks were friendly and we loved Avery the pooch. Did I mention the wild turkey’s? We recommend Dugway!"

"This was the perfect spot for a little getaway. The apartment was exactly as described in the listing and so tastefully decorated. And the location was so peaceful and beautiful. "We had a wonderful stay at the barn. The location is stunning. The barn had everything my son and I needed for a short stay. We enjoyed the garden/grounds and the people renting the silo were great too. Mary was very responsive and answered the phone at 10:25pm the night of our check in when we were lost in the dark and stayed on until we’d safely arrived. Mary was also honest and refunded part of our deposit that had been inadvertently overpaid. Would highly recommend the barn for a short stay."

"Location was good for what we wanted. The people involved responded quickly. The bed was very comfortable. Reasonably clean, the coffee pot had leftover coffee in it and a dirty spoon on the counter. The biggest issue was the musty odor."

"Very clean bright apartment in the center of Morris. So close to Litchfield Center, Bantam Lake and my kids. Loved staying there. The host was super nice. Left us sweet cake, farm fresh eggs, Arathusa 1/2 and 1/2. She was super accomadating. Two porches that we spent a lot of time on. Would give it a five rating but said it was on a lake and lake was 10 minutes away. Spoke to host and she explained mix-up. Would definitily stay there again."
