“We had a very warm welcome from the friendly staff and were shown to the room which was clean and bright. The food that evening was excellent, and as it was a warm evening we spent a pleasant time sitting outside with our drinks afterwards. Continental breakfast was served promptly at 8 am and the addition of fresh strawberries and blueberries was a definite plus! Check in / check out was swift and efficient. Just a couple of minus points:- The room door could only be opened with the key -……

“We had a lovely stay. Our room was perfect for us….lovely comfy bed and a small courtyard where we had dinner delivered! We were lucky that the weather was very warm too. Our dogs were very happy and calm and safe there . I would happily recommend this room (2) for anyone travelling with dogs. Thank you Wynnstay and staff, you made our trip really comfortable.”

“Good hotel for our short 2 night stay visiting relatives in the area. The management were very helpful and provided anything we asked for. We didn’t have dinner there so can’t comment on that aspect, but breakfast was first class and cooked freshly to order.”

Staff were all very courtious and helpful. Direct booking rather than via an agency is preferred. We will certainly be recomending the Lion to our friends and relations and using you again next time we are in the area. “A little disappointed with my stay overall. The reception staff were lovely, welcoming, and friendly, which made for a great first impression. Unfortunately, my experience with room service wasn't as positive. The first person I spoke to seemed a little disorganised, and after waiting over an hour for the food I had ordered, I called back only to be told it had been delivered to the wrong room. As there was no answer at that room, no one thought to call me to let me know, which felt a little……

Een warm onthaal, een vlotte check-in en een verrassend mooie, koele kamer op de bovenste verdieping — een zegen bij 30 graden dankzij de airco. Hoewel er geen televisie was om de WK-wedstrijden te volgen, zag het personeel mij op mijn telefoon meekijken en plaatste zonder dat ik erom vroeg een laptop voor mij. Een klein……
