Danny and Helen are extremely welcoming, nothing is too much trouble (even helped to fix my car) ((be careful reversing in and out of drive, can be quite tight)). "The cottage is cosy and warm and has all the necessary facilities to have an enjoyable stay. The kitchen is well appointed, the shower has good pressure, the beds are comfortable and the Netflix (and lots of other channels) worked well. The wifi reception isn’t super strong however it worked fine. There are lovely walks from the property and Neath is close by. There is comprehensive info on local shops, history and restaurants etc. Would definitely recommend."

"Really great location. Ask for a quiet room if you don’t want to listen to late night music from the bars . Everyone was very nice. Had a little issue where a room just had a bath so they changed the room without hesitation with just a shower. Car park needs better signage . I’m hoping I don’t get a fine for driving down a bus/taxi lane & stopping to run into the hotel for directions. When you know where it is it’s very easy to get too."

"The Copthorne is excellent value for money… it has big rooms with king size beds, free parking and a wonderful breakfast buffet that includes all the usual hot breakfast foods as well as fruit, breads and cereals. The restaurant is large and looks out over a small lake, so has quite a peaceful atmosphere despite being in a busy part of the suburbs. It is outside of Cardiff, but has a good bus service to the city centre if you want to leave the car there. The rooms are clean, but could do with a little maintenance… the cupboard hinges were slightly off and a few minor issues are starting to appear in the bathrooms. But overall, an excellent place to stay!"
