「Really friendly welcome at reception and we quickly got our keys for two twin rooms. The rooms were fine, clean and comfortable.
We used the hotel to stay overnight before a Channel Tunnel crossing which was just 10 minutes away.
It was the cheapest hotel that I could find in the area and exceeded my expectations. The decor was improved from the hotel's appearance on Channel 4's "4 In A Bed" a few years previous.
Slightly disappointed that they don't offer breakfast, but Gingers in Hythe...
「Great location right on the doorstep on the channel. Staff really friendly, romms clean and well kept. The bar was nice and decent variety of drinks. We didn't eat as i was visiting a friend do went out but will definitely consider using again wjen I'm back down. 」

「We were delighted with our stay at The Ship Inn, right from the warm welcome to someone checking whether we'd left something behind. The building has lovely windows, with light and views coming in from all angles. The food was delicious, and we were particularly pleased to have a small bottle of real milk in our room. 」
「Used the hotel as a night stop before an early ferry. It served thus purpose well was clean fidy with an easy check in helpful manager / owner. The hotel is a little dated but tidy and great for our 1 night stay only 15 minutes from either the ferry or eurotunnel.」

Little disappointed that they suddenly stopped serving food just when we went down which meant we had try and and find something last minute but other than that it was ideal for our needs. Also.... the fluffiest towels I have ever come across!!」
「Does the job really! If you need a quick night's stay before getting the ferry or tunnel then it's ideal, however be aware that some rooms have no windows and the place is a *little* rundown. Main receptionist was really nice and very helpful - I would stay again but only for short stays.」
