We stayed here for one night while traveling back to Glasgow. The hotel is very old. It definitely could use some updating, but it was very clean, and in a good location. The breakfast was good, the bar served good drinks and they had live music the night we were there.

Very old and run down hotel, general smell of mould throughout the hotel. Lift regularly malfunctioned, daily occurrence of people being stuck, limit to 2 people and then changed to 1 person. Lack of maintenance throughout. Convenient location. Dining room staff helpful, reception staff rude at times.

Small elevator for 5 story building and it broke. Then the power was out in half the building and we had no hot water. Breakfast was average at best. Few fruit, yogurt and pastry options. I guess that is why they had last minute availability. At least the room was clean and the staff were nice.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights. It is centrally located and easy to get around from there. The hotel is nice and clean, and feels cozy even though it is a bit worn. The staff is helpful and very welcoming. The breakfast was nice - there were many warm dishes, bread, pancakes, yogurt, fruit, granola, juices, coffee, tea and cocoa. We had a room on the 4th floor from which we had a view of both the mountains and the water.

Hotel could definitely use a but love and investment put into it. The hotel has an unique scotland feel old feel to it, which I like when its maintained well, but unfortunately it is not. The shower was broken and leaking to the floor. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the room with no radiators running was strangely very hot. I enjoyed the breakfast and staff were friendly. The room was clean. Just needs maintenance work on the place to get it feel like you are getting your money's worth.

Excellent Hotel ideally located within 5 minute walk of Fort William railway station. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Very impressive self service breakfast with everything well prepared and cooked. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

The location is perfect. 6min walk to the bus/train station. Staff friendly/helpful. Restaurant was large portions/well priced. Rooms were clean, but shabby around the edges, despite bathroom reno. As a designer, I can see they used completely inappropriate materials and shower structure for a commercial property. Water is getting everywhere and it’s destroying their bathrooms. Our bedroom had visible signs of leaking in the ceilings (possibly from an upstairs bathroom) which was a bit gross to look at. Our room was very noisy, something in the hallway structure outside our room made a huge bang when people walk past, and you have to keep the windows open for air, and the pigeons coo all night. If you care about sound, you need to bring ear plugs. For the price at off peak season, it was quite acceptable and clean. Oh, but PS an easy thing that they could do is scrub the walls in the common areas; it would really improve the impression.

I feel awful writing this review because the staff are incredible and they are doing their absolute best with what they are given to work with. The cleaning staff are amazing. The hotel is incredibly rundown. My bed had springs that poked my hips all night. At first it was only on one side, so I slept on other side, but after 2 nights that side poked a spring up too. Also-don’t look under the mattress protector. Its predecessor didn’t do its job. The tub was falling apart on the outside. Every inch of floor squeaked. 3/4 pillows were rock hard. My travel partner’s room was so musty and the window wouldn’t open, she was able to change rooms to one that at least had an opening window. My bathroom always smelled like something was hot despite nothing being on. The lift can only take one person at a time. Again, lovely staff. But the hotel needs a lot of work.

Very convenient to shopping and Restaurants. The Hotel had everything you would need. We just found due to the age of the Hotel the maintenance and upkeep could use some TLC. The Roof top outside our room window had a lot of trash.
