Oma’s Haus provides the perfect retreat for a family weekend, or a quiet couples retreat. Spacious enough for larger groups, Oma’s Haus has two separate bedrooms. The Master Bedroom has a Queen-size bed and there are two Full-size beds in the spare room. The large living area has plenty of room to enjoy good conversations and good times. Great house and location!

We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean home and property. We were about 15 minutes South of downtown Fredericksburg, which was perfect since we were hitting state parks in the area: LBJ & Pedernales Falls. Nice country setting next to the regional airport, which allowed us to watch planes take in & out throughout the day. We will definitely consider staying here again the next time we are in the area.

Nice, Clean and Convenient

Kitchen is equipped so that you can prepare full meals if you wish. Has a garage in case of inclement weather. Internet works well. Satellite TV has limited channels, but we weren't there to watch TV. The location is great! Just out of town but feels like you are in the boonies away from 'the city'. The airport next door isn't a problem. Mostly small personal airplanes with a few jets during the day. Never heard a thing after about 8pm. Would definitely consider staying again. Pricing was reasonable as well.

Just like going to grandma's house...

Oma's House is a sort of hidden gem in F-burg. We've been staying at B&Bs in the area for decades, and have seen both the selection and the cost increase exponentially over the last 25 years. When I saw this property for this price I immediately booked it, in spite of the fact that it doesn't come with all the bells and whistles that other properties might have. Hot tub? Nope. Big screen TV? Uh-uh. Fancy adjustable memory foam air bed? Nada. But what this property does have is late 70s and early 80s era charm, in spades. It feels just like a house I might have grown up in, from the formica counters to the cabinetry to the exterior. Besides that, the property is fairly secluded, and except for the soft drone of small planes landing and taking off from the airport, we heard nary a sound all weekend long. I slept like a baby at Oma's House, and that's unusual for me when I'm traveling. Other perks: - Absolutely 100% spotlessly clean. - Comfortable beds. - Nearby park and nature trail. - Close to airport and the Airport Diner. - Half of what it might cost to book a 2BR downtown. We will definitely be staying here again.
