"Utterly sublime experience! We booked a fantastic spacious room with private onsen, worth every penny for the extraordinarily comfortable room — but the in-room onsen (while handy) isn’t necessary for privacy because the larger (indoor and outdoor) onsens get booked for private use anyway. The entire experience is blissful, including the wonderful meals. One night is nice but two provides a really restful stay. "

"Spa was wonderful. Got a shiatsu massage afterward dinner in our traditional Japanese room with tatami mats, futon, resting area, view of bamboo forest and private onsen. It was magical!"

"This was the best stay on our 14 days in Japan! The hospitality was above and beyond our expectations. Truely five stars! Manager Mr. Mamiya Haruhi and his staff welcomed us and attended to our every needs, again above and beyond our expectations. Food and service were of highest quality. The hot springs were relaxing. Although steep, the area around this traditional Japanese hotel was very walkable. We only wish we had stay more than one night."

"Clean ryoukan in a picturesque little alley, a spacious room and a sublime private bath. You also recieve a free voucher for the nearby ki no yu onsen. The breakfast is massively large and tasty, I'll definitely visit again when I'm in Kobe. "

"The hotel is nicely decorated. Our indoor hot spring bath is nicely arranged. Dinner was delicious. Certainly, few more or a larger piece of wagyu beef will be great. Breakfast has lots of variety. "
