Beautiful condo. Had everything we needed. Check in was frustrating because we were sent the wrong door code. There is no one onsite to help so the process was not smooth.

Great place for teen girls

Brought my daughter and 5 friends down for 2 days with two other moms. The girls had the best time playing on the beach, hanging around the pool area, and sitting on the balcony. The place was well equipped, had lots of room and we loved every minute of our trip.

Best Vacay EVER

This vacation spot was perfect for our girls' trip. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking at the beach. The place was spacious and very well kept. The beds were extremely comfortable. The beach was visible from the balcony and accessible on foot. The pool at the Beach Club was beautiful. You could see the ocean from the pool which felt like being on a cruise ship. Perfect Spot!

Family fun

We enjoyed staying at this property. It was out first time at PointWest in Galveston. The only drawback was finding the refrigerator full of old food from previous guests and the red sofa bed which was very uncomfortable. Other than that, we had a blast and enjoyed family time.

Sand Swept Away! Will book again

We have lived all over the USA and rented many homes and condo. This ranks amongst the best (top 10%) of vacation rentals we’ve stayed in. We spent three days during our summer vacation and absolutely loved our stay. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend. Here’s what we loved: - Location in Pointe West which is quiet and tucked away from the strand and main Galveston - Views of the Gulf (sunrise) and Bay (sunset) - Access to the beach and two pools plus a restaurant and fitness center - Spacious and modern layout with all the comforts of home. Plent of room for our big family - 3 bathrooms and comfy beds - Water pressure was fine despite some of the reviews - Paperwork on hand explaining everything we neeed to know. - Plenty of towels (beach and bath) and linen - Kitchen has modern appliances, well stocked items which is a rarity What we would like to see improve: - Elevator wasn’t working when we checked in. It was fixed and worked on our way out - Check in is at 4 pm and the front office closed at 5 pm. We were able to get temporary access to the pool area with a staff member on hand after hours - Extra charges for pool access - for what we paid it should be included.

Very nice with a few items that could have been better

Beautiful Condo with fantastic ocean and bay views (sun rise and set!)that is nicely furnished including he beds linens and decorating. Plenty of TV screens with cable service. There is free reserved parking for one car and additional parking for more (on Jul 4th weekend they mostly taken) but we had no problems with parking our 2 vehicles. We loved our stay. However there were a couple issues that were a bit off putting: -->The code for the digital door lock did not open to the code. Our daughter, son in-law, and 7 month old grandson arrived first and moved all their baby required items upstairs only to not be able to get in. After 2 calls to the management company (first was accidentally disconnected by the CSR within two minutes of getting through after a 12 minute "all reps are busy" wait. The second red fixed the issue, but the wait to speak with them was about the same length. That was a long time to wait in the TX July heat. -->Elevator worked sporadically (of course checkout morning, it was down :( the pool area could use more shade(maybe not an issue except major holidays/) The others were minor in comparison, and we DID enjoy our stay. One thing we discovered that most guests will appreciate. It is possible to walk to and from the pool by going through the covered parking decks of each building-nice break from the sun!

Disappointment

Pointe West is a well reputable resort and we have rented in the area before. This apartment was not up to expectations. On day of arrival, we noticed breakfast table and chairs were dirty with food crumbs and dust everywhere. Although we are paying for a cleaning service, it did not seem that cleaning was up to par. Secondly, they do provide the starter essentials for bathroom, laundry and kitchen. However, I recommend the kitchen sponges to be changed after each guest. They were old, dirty and had a terrible smell. Also, the dishwasher turns on and runs through the cycle; but dishes were all still dirty. Third, the condo is fit for a max of 10 people, but they do not provide enough bath towels for the ten people. We had to keep washing to redistribute towels. Fourth, bedrooms were equipped with proper sleeping arrangements; but the mattresses were horrible. Sleeper sofa was in no shape for sleeping and I don't think bedding was changed. I noticed bedding in the bunk bedroom closet that was on the floor and looked dirty. Needless to say, we did not use the sleeper sofa. Fifth, kitchen accessories could use some adding to....again for 10 people and making a large quantities, they didn't have a large frying pan to make eggs for example. Nor did they have a large mixing bowl for salad or etc.... Last, but not least, there were sugar ants everywhere! Especially in kitchen and secondary bathroom. The ants got in all my suitcases and clothes and I had to wash everything and wipe down with vinegar. In summary, I don't recommend this apartment unless they make major improvements.

Nice property

Very nice property. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Close to boardwalk to beach. The main beach view is only partial (substantially blocked by another building), but you do have a nice view of the bay side out the back. We received the email the day of check in from Vacasa, but it didn’t include the door code. We called Vacasa. They answered promptly and were helpful. They weren’t able to get the door code, but did give us a lock box code for a key. Later that evening, the code was eventually sent to us. It wasn’t great that we had to work through this check in issue, but having the responsive management company made it pretty stress free.

Beautiful well equipped

We had a spectacular stay. This house was very well set up with everything we needed in the kitchen. Clean and roomy. My only wish would be for a few more towels, but really it wasn’t that big of a deal. Beds were comfortable :) it’s clear the owners care about their home and delivering a quality vacation space for their guests.

Fun on the Beach

The unit was very clean and had a fully equipped kitchen. It is super close to a pretty nice beach and a very short drive from the beach club (you could walk if you don’t have a lot of stuff with you). If you use a lot of paper towels or plan on doing more than a couple loads of laundry, you may want to bring your own paper towels and laundry detergent. Before we left, management told me there was no pack and play, but there actually is one in one of the closets. It would have been nice to know so we didn’t have to bring our own. The biggest downfall of the unit is there are no curtains anywhere, just blinds, so it made it pretty hard to nap or sleep in (or especially for my kids). Other than that, it was a great time, and I would definitely come back.
