“Cleaning staff could do a better job. Dried blood on the comforter, garbage bag left outside our patio door, we were never told they didn’t service the rooms so no fresh towels for three days. Breakfast was your typical fare bagged eggs,,waffles and yogurt. They did however have homemade cinnamon rolls. Shower looks pretty new but it had rust on it. Don’t stay by the breakfast room. Super noisy.”

“Hot tub heater went out first day. Breakfast sucks.”

“The room smelled moldy. We booked the room through Expedia but when we checked in the hotel wanted an additional $30 with no explanation for the additional cost. We were tired from driving all day so just paid it. The TV in our room did work. The staff attempted to fix the tv but were unsuccessful. They reluctantly moved us to a different room but we had to insist. The coffee served in the lobby was obviously instant coffee and the free breakfast was OK.”

“This is a unique property. The house is beautiful, but it was a little difficult to tell what exactly we were getting from the listing. We wound up with a room with an en-suite bathroom, which I would definitely recommend, otherwise you may be sharing a bathroom with complete strangers. We stayed here as part of RAGBRAI, so it was completely full and folks were definitely having to share a bathroom and coordinate showers. Not a huge deal, but we were happy to have our room with the bathroom. All……
