“We arrived after a long train journey and a visit to the V&A. The guy on reception couldn’t have been more helpful. Very polite and knowledgeable. Had a drink in the bar before we went to our room. Crossed the street and straight up in the lift to the second floor. Our room was spotless with everything we needed. Teas,coffee,hairdryer and toiletries. The bed was really comfortable too. “The location is just fantastic. Thameslink, overground and underground are just within 2-4 mins walk. 4 supermarkets and many restaurants nearby. Though the building is old, it is clean and tidy. The bathroom is newly renovated. WiFi is strong. When comparing to the price, it is competitive. We will surely recommend it to our friends.”

“I will start by saying that customer service offered to cancel our stay. We chose to stay despite being unhappy due to our short time in London - check-in was confusing, the pub/tavern was not terribly clean -we found dog poo along the walkway. The remote checkin support person did not know we needed two different codes to enter the building - this was not a hotel! An unmarked building with individual apartments. “This is a typical mid price range London Hotel, it has a comfortable bed, a very small room. One Chair, a mini pulldown desk. they provide a bottle of water, but no glasses, no small Bath, Hair & Conditioner containers... it does have a bottle of unknown type soap, a shower that floods into the bedroom, and a mini sink... If I were anywhere but London I would have considered this a Hostel Room... Also my room had no window, just a fake door with a light behind it. On the Good Side the……

“A brilliant stay at The Holmes Hotel. The location is ideal, just a short walk from Oxford Street and Marylebone High Street, with excellent transport links. The staffs were super friendly and helpful, always on hand with a smile. The rooms are clean, modern, and very comfortable. The breakfast was a real highlight - delicious and varied. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip to London.”
