Mediocre at best
I stayed for two nights. The furnishings were not nearly as nice as portrayed in the photo, they were old and worn. There wasn't an individual shower, there was a hose on the wall and everything in the bathroom gets wet. Bring your own toiletries. There were also ants in the room. I was told that breakfast began at 7am. I arrived at 7:05am and the entire buffet had been wiped clean by 6 Chinese tourists. It was not replenished until after 7:20am. The "spa" is laughable, it is a table behind a curtain on the way to the elevator.

Staff was Phenomenal especially the young man who worked serving breakfast during tet. He deserves a raise. He was friendly and professional did an excellent job at serving breakfast, working the front desk and whatever else he did during my 4 nights there. The room had ghost ants on the desk but I am from Florida so I was use to them. they are harmless but annoying because I couldn't use the desk.

The room and toilet is much bigger in size compared to its price, and staff are generally friendly. However, the room and facilities is a little old and lacking. The "rain shower" in my toilet wasn't working, water pressure was weak, and the toilet was a little too dirty for my comfort (due to age and not lacking of cleaning). Also, note that the hotel closes its shutters at midnight. If you want to party till late, you will have to bang on the shutters and have a slightly disgruntled staff open the door for you. Overall, just OK if you prefer a big room and cheap price, but not if you want more amenities and better facilities.

Efficient early check in at 12 noon. There was some confusion the next morning at 6am about whether I had paid for the pre-paid taxi to the airport but it was sorted out.

Not good
This place is for a budget traveler who cares nothing about quality. Rooms were not wel maintained. Location was also a bit sketchy. Beds probably had bed bugs but I’m glad I did not try to stay over the night I left as soon as I got there. Room also had an old weird smell to it. Just not the experience I expected. Much better to pay more for better quality.

Excellent for Ho Chi Minh airport
Needs a place to stay for one night that was close to the airport. This place was perfect. Couple of minutes walk to both domestic and international terminals. Staff great, food was good, room clean, spacious, modern. Bed was very firm but I slept well. Hotel is either new or recently refurbished and looks great and modern I asked for a mug and one was provided immediately

Welcoming desk and breakfast staff but disappointing facilities. No curtains on windows with halogen street lamp pointed directly at room, cursory or no daily cleaning, non-operating fridge, no waste basket. Location however was central, on seething old city tiny street.

Thief amongst us
Went out Monday morning and left my key at the front desk. Even though I had the do not disturb sign up, some staff member came in and removed the dirty linens and stole my electric toothbrush. Be warned that there is a thief working in this hotel. Everything closes around 6 or 7 around this area. It is within 10 minutes walking distance to the bar street. I didn't enjoy my stay due to the fact that someone stole from me, but either than that it was OK. Be warned....

Hotel standard is below expectation
My husband and I stayed in this hotel on 20-21 Feb. The bathroom cistern was filthy (they did not clean the part between around the hinge of the toilet lid - there were black batches.. The bath towel did not look clean and smelled. The slippers in the room were hard and look dirty The wifi in the room did not work.

Located among hardware shops and is noisy.
Bad - blanket has a big hole. Have to climb 2 storey as there is no lift. Breakfast lousy - cook did not get ready by 6:30am. Breakfast was ready by 6:55am. Some guests just can't wait because their pick up transport arrived. Food was bad.

Nice hotel in the center of town
The staff are wonderful. They make sure that all your needs are met. I arrived very early and had a room before 9 in the morning. I came back to hotel after going to halong bay and had a great dinner there. Will stay there next time when in Hanoi

Average hotel in the Old Quarter
We stayed 2 nights - once before our trip to Halong Bay and once after. On the first night, we were at the back of the hotel where it was nice and quiet but the room felt a bit grubby. On the second night we were at the very noisy front of the hotel but the room was slightly more spacious and brighter. Both times, it was fine for what we needed (just somewhere to lay our heads) but nothing special. 'Double' beds are really just 2 singles pushed together with a rolled up duvet shoved between the mattresses! You'll need to ask for a second duvet as they only give you a single duvet big enough for 1 person. Breakfast was only ok, we actually went out for breakfast the second morning instead of using our breakfast included option.

Hotel staff was great. Conversing in english should not be a problem. And for any assistance or help on taxi or trips all you need to do is ask. Room was great too . Its not a 5 star to begin with.

Overall, I was happy with my stay. Simple, clean, good location and good value. They were too noisy early in the morning. But I called the front desk and it immediately stopped. Hopefully they took note.

A nice hotel with friendly staff
We first booked 3 nights with this hotel but then booked another 6 nights as we have some unfinished business there. The hotel is very good for a budget hotel. The room is surprisingly spacious, has mini bar, coffee making facility, comfortable beds and a very good wifi connection in room. The staff: Ngoc, Cuong, Tung, Daisy and Hoa, the sales manager, are excellent, they did their best to make our stay a pleasant one. The buffet breakfast is quite satisfying where you can order freshly cooked eggs or pho. They also can help you with any travel arrangements. We won't hesitate to stay there again in the near future as it's a very good value hotel!

Exceeded my expectations
Staff absolutely wonderful. Caring and always smiling, they all made my stay in Hanoi even more pleasing. They went out of their way to help me book trips around the city and then to Sapa and Ha Long Bay. Each ones were up to my (sometimes very specific) expectations.The rooms were modern and clean, good WIFI and the included breakfast had a nice selection every morning. The hotel is located on a very busy street, but near everything the city has to offer. Will return there next time I'm in Hanoi, without any hesitations.

The staff at this hotel made all the difference! They are helpful, kind, and always had a smile on their face. The hotel is what you expect for the price. It's not fancy, but it's suitable and clean. It's also located in close proximity to many attractions. Again, the staff is what made my stay in Hanoi so wonderful!

Be warned, this place is not like the pictures AT ALL. The place is under renovation. We stayed in two different rooms. The first room was really really dated and dark and dreary. The second room was nice and had a lot of space. The bathrooms are not the greatest and hot water is sometimes not available. There is no wifi that works at this place. However, the staff are absolutely incredible and go way above and beyond the call of duty. They will plan your trips, make international calls for you, hold your bags if you leave for a cruise or anything. They are really really awesome, especially Anna. The breakfast was okay. The location is really good. It's a nice place to crash but not if you are looking for a nice place to stay. You get what you pay for. Also, if there are springs digging into your back on the mattress, try flipping it over. The bed was 100% more comfortable after we did that.

We arrived early in the morning and was upgraded to top floor suite. Hotel staff very helpful in setting up tours to Ha Long bay and directions for getting around the old Quarter.

A very good location near to shopping and restaurant. Price is very reasonable. Staff especially are very helpful and friendly. They keep reminding us to be more careful with our bags if we going to the night market. Not regret to stay in this hotel, highly recommended this hotel to others.

Wonderful staff made this a perfect vacation
This hotel is located in the old quarter. We were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful; every day they asked where we were going, gave us useful tips, and asked us about it on our return. Their service was prompt and professional whenever we needed anything, directions, a taxi, extra towels, even the pharmacy. They have a spa and travel service on site, and the breakfast was delicious. We would absolutely stay here again.

Very good value. I do like the location as you are in the old quarter but without the disadvantages of this very touristy area. Room are clean. Comfortable bed. Buffet breakfast is quite good for the price (in many budget hotels, you are only given bread and eggs with a hot beverage). Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room (standard room) was on the back side, so very quiet. Bathroom with bathtub and shower curtain which is a good point. Amenities are ok, but no free bottles of water. Flat screen tv. Only thing: lighting is poor and greenish in the room, but there was a huge window so it is ok during day time. For budget travelers, I'd highly recommend this hotel as I had lower quality rooms with lower service for the same (or higher) price in Hanoi (and I've stayed in a dozen of places). I'll be back with pleasure!

The hotel was small. Breakfast was not good. Room was old but ok. Staff seemed nice and tried to make guests feel welcomed. However, 4 hours after leaving the hotel, my son told me that he left the ipad under the blanket. I immediately informed the staff, but they said that they could not find it and suggested that we left it somewhere else. I know it was not true because I saw my son with it the previous night. We left early in the morning and my so slept in the taxi and on the plane. The manager needs to investigate and find the thief. This never happened to us in any other hotel in many different cities in Vietnam. This really left us a bad memory of this hotel and Hanoi in general. Because of this, I would not recomend this hotel. Eventhough the front desk staff seemed nice and friendly, I'm not sure if I can trust them. Maybe there was only one bad employee, but the trust is no longer there. Will never come back to this hotel.

Staff were very helpfull. We book at so last minutes that our room wasn't available anymore but they fixed it by giving us free upgrade on the second night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel for sure

This hotel is located in the heart of Hanoi, within walking distance to every sight and restaurant you could want. The hotel was very clean, well worth the price and quite comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodated every need we had.

I recently stayed here with my sister and loved it. The staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for you but wasn't too interfering.The room was really nice, very clean, modern decor and cosy. The breakfast was nice and catered for all appetites. The only one bad thing I could say about this hotel is the location at night. The reason for this is on a night after the shops had closed the street was a little dark. However we were travelling as two girls.As a general location it is excellent for all the shops and close to town.We ended up staying a extra night because we really liked it.We would definitely stay here again.

Hainoi Experience
First visit to Vietnam, hotel is ok, I thought there was a swimming pool for some reason. The staff are helpful, friendly, polite and service oriented. The hotel is actually quite quaint once I got over the disappointment of no swimming pool and learning how to navigate the streets, it's got a countryside feel, with a cockerel crowing and birds tweeting in the morning. Will be back!

Great Hotel to see the real Vietnam
My sister and I booked our Hotel with the reviews of this Hotel and was not disappointed. Although a basic Hotel it was right in the heart of Hanoi old quarter close to everything, as in walking or other transport. The staff was helpful and happy to book day tours for us and tell us how to get around and costs. The Hotel was clean and safe and the omelettes for breakfast were yum. Don't expect 5 star this Hotel is not, but your stay will be a happy one if you wear a smile and happy to learn about this country.
