“We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay.”

“What an absolute gem of a property! I come to Hove for business and have always stayed quite some distance away (Hayward Heath) due to the lack of secure parking at most properties in the area. So to find this fabulous property so close to my customer’s site was fantastic. Off street parking on the drive of the property means no hunting for a parking space.
Linda was quick to contact me as soon as the booking went through, requesting my preferences for milk and bread - so thoughtful.

“Very run down with no signs of trying to fix anything.
Friendly enough staff, but clueless.
I had to move rooms after the first night. The radiator in room 218 couldn't be turned off and it was 25 degrees. The ceiling in the bathroom has water damage from above and the plaster was cracked and falling down.
The second room I was given, room 317, had more problems. The window had broken seals, so let in a lot of wind and noise from the street. I found 2 empty Absolut vodka bottles wedged……

“I stayed at this hotel recently and overall had a good experience. The check-in process was smooth and the staff were very welcoming. The room was clean, tidy, and had all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location of the hotel was convenient, making it easy to explore nearby places.
The service from the staff was professional and they were always ready to help when needed. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future and recommend it to travelers looking……
