"I stayed at the Plumeria Inn for 4 nights. The unit is like a studio apartment. It is well outfitted with just about everything you need. I cooked all of my meals here. It was very clean and the interior is almost completely new. I was on my own this trip and felt very safe. My unit had a balcony with a hammock which was wonderful. The air conditioning unit worked great and was silent - so great. The proximity to the water and beautiful side road to walk and run on is great. It was an incredible value and I would absolutely stay here again. Ear plugs were helpful for sleep as there is some noise from the road - not a deal breaker at all. The manager is very responsive."

"If I could give Marie & Greg 10 stars, I would. This was our second visit and it was even more outstanding than the first. They make you feel like old friends or treasured family instead of just VRBO guests. The neighborhood is quiet, convenient to everything on the east side of the big island and offers anything you could need for a relaxing visit. We will return again!"

"When I first pulled up, I was hesitant. I reread the reviews to remind myself of why I booked and then went in. First and foremost, I never saw any bugs let alone the bugs the one review mentioned. The room is spacious, beds comfortable, well appointed kitchenette, and nice water pressure for a real shower. I had gone to the green sand beach before arrival so I needed a good shower! Location is wonderful. I highly recommend the farmers market right behind it. They have souvenirs, jewelry, cool homemade crafts & goods, and a food market w produce vendors as well as teas, coffees, etc. I bought some mangosteens and wow they’re so good! Fantastic location to tide pools over behind the airport, plenty of food options close and into town. Find a place that has Vietnamese iced coffee, trust me!! There are some unhoused folks along the sidewalks that are super chill, not asking for anything, and are quite charming and kind. "

"Located in the center of Hilo 5-15 minutes away from everything, 45 minutes from Kilauea lookout. The building is older and the lower floors are private businesses but you basically only go to the elevator and the coffee shop. The unit was nice, recently renovated everything kitchen to bathroom. The downfall was the A/C in one of the rooms just broke down and a part needed to be ordered but other than that unit was clean, nice, and enjoyable. Useful kitchen appliances if you were thinking of cooking but we didn't because we were out and about. The pool is on the smaller side and on the side of parking lot. We didn't go in it because it was always raining. "
