Shoutout to her she made the whole experience 10x better. Room exceptionally clean and so cute. I love that it wasn’t your typical white everything cookie cutter look is was very niche and I appreciated it. It was located next to everything making errands and exploring a quick walk anywhere. “The staff at the hotel were very helpful and cheerful. The parking for the facility was easy and close to our room. The property was well stocked with towels, coffee/tea, complimentary drinks in your room refrigerator. The property was peaceful to lounge by the pool and swings under the trees facing the ocean.”

“The hotel is getting a complete renovation. It will be a very nice place when completed. If Their continental breakfast needs more options. Their housekeeper worked very hard when asked for service. Unfortunately only one person. The hotel location is ideal for walking to restaurants and beaches. Covered parking was a plus. It suited our needs.”

“Everything about the hotel was great. The only issue we had was that we booked 2 rooms for 2 nights through expedia. 1 room was great fully checked in for 2 nights. The 2nd room they tried to tell us we were only booked for 1 night. Which I had my itinerary. Then when asked about it again they told us someone else didn't check us in fully but gave us keys for both rooms. Then at check out I asked about it again and was told that the second room was checked in for 1 night then scheduled again and……

“They do offer a continental breakfast from 6-10am however, they frequently run out of breakfast items before breakfast is over. While sitting an eating breakfast, I also observed staff putting away breakfast items before breakfast was ever over. They also told people they were out of items that I saw them put up. If having a good breakfast, is important to you this is not the hotel for you. It is also important to note that the ramp out to the beach is covered by sand so it is not traversible……

“If you are looking to stay on St. Simon's Island do not book your stay at Epworth by The Sea. The staff was not friendly or accommodating at all. When we arrived to the property. We were left in the dark about the properties'' amenities unless we asked. The iron in the room was broken, there are spider nests and cob webs all over the place inside and outside. My biggest complaint however, is that our first morning we left the "maid service please" signage outside on the door handle that was……

“I have never stayed at a hotel with kinder staff. The people who work here are amazing. Can’t say enough good things about the restaurant or amenities and beach. Definitely take a bike out and ride around if you can. My only complaint is the rooms are hit and miss—seems they renovated the room itself but not the bathrooms, and you can tell from peeling wallpaper, rusted faucets, etc. If you don’t mind some imperfections and are seeking convenience, a comfy bed and great staff, you’ll have a……

“The beach view from the third floor was good. Any lower would not be very good. Handicapped access to the beach in front of the hotel was limited. There was a boardwalk over the dunes to the beach, but it was 15 steps down to the beach at the end of the boardwalk.”
