"Service at the hotel needs overhaul. Just a few items to note. Upon check in, front desk staff very unfriendly. Went to the roof top pool. One of the umbrellas flew out of the stand due to wind and almost took out my wife. Had to run over to her and help then tried to put the umbrella back in the stand. Pool staff just looking behind the bar. Guy came over and helped me secure it back in. Got up next day to get coffee downstairs. No coffee to be found. Sign at front desk stated staff is taking a break and will be back in 5 minutes. Left for Starbucks with the help of the outdoor valet who was extremely helpful and nice. Best at property. Came back to talk to the valet after 30 minutes. Sign was still up at front desk which I am guess the front desk person was taking a long nap or on the phone. Mr or Mrs. GM - I know its tough to find good help, but your hotel won't last long with the service and staff operating accordingly."

From the porch overlooking the ocean, the spacious, comfortable rooms, and the excellent food options ranging from poolside to table service!! One of our favorites and the staff is so nice and helpful, from the front desk, pool attendants, wait staff and bell services!! Can't wait to stay again"

"Everything was great. We only had an issue of the water leakage from the shower which created a puddle onto the bathroom floor. Also, I don't understand why the fire alarms are always blinking while you're trying to sleep. Do they not change the batteries??? Other than that, the property was clean and the customer service was top tier."

"This was our first stay with royal palms and it was great. The desk attendant (Niko, I believe) was very helpful throughout my entire stay. We travel a lot and this was the first hotel that the desk attendant personally walked me to my room to make sure I was satisfied with the room. The hotel has 3 pools, one by each of the main building. It’s still a small hotel even with the 3 buildings, which I find a good thing. It was a short walk to the beach and to nearby restaurants. The pools were our highlight, they look great and have lots of seating. When I visited it was slow season and during the weekdays so the bar was not open during my stay but I didn’t mind. Parking was very easy but not sure if it was because it had low occupancy during my stay. Room was clean, and the AC worked great. The only suggestions I would make is pressure washing the exterior walls and a fresh coat of paint, and some of the fixtures in the room could use some touch ups or replacement. I’ve stayed at a handful of beach hotels and the cosmetic flaws are pretty standard. I would definitely recommend this resort and I look forward to coming back in the future."

"Diana at the front desk is the only bright spot who can be mentioned from this terrible facility. Hotels.com had a room listed as one king bed plus 2 double beds. The hotel does not have a room with 3 beds. So we were given a room with 2 double beds only. Diana was wonderful in helping us out. But I can’t say anything else good about this bad hotel. The only coffee in the hotel is at a very, very bad (and excruciatingly slow and expensive) “Starbucks” that is only opened at breakfast. After that you can’t get coffee until the next day. Our hotel room was not cleaned and, evidently, the person who was supposed to clean our room had no idea how to make up the bed. Make sure you have plenty of small bills in your wallet because there is no way to get change for even a 20 dollar bill in the entire hotel because the front desk doesn’t have any cash and the valet stand is the only cash option. But they didn’t have any cash either. So you’re out of luck. If dinner is what you want then there is only One kitchen at the hotel. So you can watch your food being carted across the hotel lobby. However, the food isn’t covered. I guess Covid information hasn’t yet reached this “establishment”. Please don’t waste your money staying at this hotel. This is the worst hotel (?) we’ve stayed at in many, many years. There are other hotels in the area that are cleaner, nicer and worth your money."
