“We stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend while visiting St. Ignace and Mackinac Island. Considering the holiday, the price was reasonable. The staff was the highlight of our stay. They were friendly, helpful, and waited for us when we arrived around 2 a.m. Communication through the Expedia app was excellent since the room phone wasn't connected. “The room and bed were clean and comfortable, but the hotel felt a little outdated. The balcony was dirty, with some mold and a lot of bugs. I requested a room change, but the staff told me they couldn't switch me from a king room to a queen room because I had booked through Expedia (a third-party site!). They also said the bugs on the balcony were expected since the hotel is located on the lakefront. Room cleaning was only provided upon request, which would have been nice to know in advance. On……

“Arrived at said reservation location, checked in, went to room and the Midge flies had infested the room. Most likely the maid had left the door open and forgot. There was a language barrier between the front desk clerk. Asked for another room; denied was told no rooms available yet one sat unused the whole night. Asked for a bed remake as the dead flies were in the sheets not just on. Clerk didn't bring all bed clothes and finally a woman appeared and remade the bed. This was over the 4th of……
