“We recently stayed at The Ocean View Hotel from 13th–15th February and unfortunately were very disappointed with our experience.
We chose this hotel specifically because of the facilities advertised on the website, including a swimming pool, bar, coffee shop, evening dining, jazz club with cocktail bar, and the daily “Happy Hour” promotion. “Issues about the room
Open the door - strong musky smell even with the window open.
On arrival in the room I had to remove 5 spiders (each in different corners of the room) aswell as several cobwebs.
Carpet had a massive stain upon entering the room which probably added to the musky smell.
Room uninviting and very small for double. Décor was 1970's styled, looking incredibly dated.
Bath had large scattered spots of paint so you certainly wouldn't bath in it. Can’t shave as there’s no plug in……

“The room seemed clean, dirty towel that was left was removed after this was pointed out. Room was well equipped with coffee maker and kettle, nice modern bathroom. To our surprise the room was not cleaned during the day and towels not refreshed. Also coffee, tea, water etc was not replenished.
Breakfast in the local pub across the square was not good. No fresh fruit for instance and the used ingredients were not the best.”

“The cottage is in a great location to access all parts of the island. Decor and furnishing are on the basic side, but this is more than reflected in the price. The garden has lovely views - a picnic table is provided but I suggest taking your own camping chairs for more comfy, longer term seating.
