Ventnor Isle of Wight Owl and Falconry Centre Hotels

"This hotel is well situated and the reception and bar areas are top class. The staff also are not to be faulted, providing a warm welcome and nothing too much trouble. The bedroom and decor however, leave much to be improved upon. Poor paint finishing, a wash basin in the main bedroom area separate from the shower and toilet, a dreadfully weak shower and a strange pump noise going on throughout the day/night intermittently. All easily remedied which would make this welcoming hotel one of the best in Shanklin I reckon."

"We had no view of the beach, our stay was mostly pleasant but the noise at night was distracting. Loud doors slamming and dogs barking due to the loud sudden noises of how heavy the doors close."

"Great views from the bedroom towards the sea (apart from the infamous Shanklin lift shaft). Sun rise while lying in bed was fantastic to see. Staff were great and the food was good. Although some areas were a little worn and could do with a bit of TLC, it was very clean and tidy."

"Sea Grove was the perfect place to stay in Ventnor. The place was only a short walk from the gardens (highly recommend the putting) and around a 10 minute walk to the beach. It was nice and quiet there with plenty of space and parking! Would definitely stay there again when visiting Ventnor. However, they do not provide towels so make sure to bring some as we didn't!"

"We had a really lovely stay at the apartment. The bedroom and living room have big windows looking over to the sea. We listened to the waves when we went to sleep at night. Although it is within walking distance of Ventnor town we ate at the sea front restaurants and bars each night which were less than 2 minutes walk away, as was the beach.It is a great location."

"The Dairy Barn is a beautiful large property set in an idyllic location but within easy reach of local amenities and attractions by car. Our group consisted of 6 adults and the 3 en-suite bedrooms were ideal. The kitchen is large and very well equipped and there was plenty of seating in all rooms, including the very comfortable lounge. Plenty of parking for 3 cars and room to store our bikes. Would thoroughly recommend. Sally was very helpful and on-hand should we need anything."

"We had an excellent stay at St Maur. The rooms are large spotlessly clean with fantastic ensuite facilties and a balcony with outstanding views. Parking is avaliable and hotel ideally situated for walking to the Botanic Gardens and Steephill Cove. The Owner and staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. Such a friendly homely atmosphere."
