"We stayed at the Aspen Inn at the beginning of April. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is a great place if you just need to sleep and clean up. We spent most of our vacation hiking so this was a great option and price for us. The thermostat was a little finicky for us, but the room had a box fan supplied which worked great. "

"Our room was quite big, very cozy, with everything we needed. Beautiful view of Lake Superior...right out the back door to our room. This hotel is close to everything in town. You are steps away from restaurants, shopping, galleries, the marina, Artists point, etc. "

"Very quiet and pleasant venue. Great view. If you want to cook there are very basic utensils available. Make time on your last day to strip linens, wipe down surfaces, and clean the floor. "

"We just love the farmhouse! We visited the cows daily, hiked to Pincushion Mtn right from the property, drank some fresh milk, played card games, kitchen is well equipped and we made all our meals . This was our 3rd trip to farm, and all 9 of us can’t wait to come back. Thank you , Lyndsay!"

"This was the best stay I've ever had in Grand Marais, and I will be making it my go-to for future solo (with dog) retreats up north. One word sums up the Studio: COZY. I came in winter, and that's what I needed. Lynn did everything to make this spacious studio cozy, even turning up the water heater so that the faucets produced very hot water when it was subzero outside! The overhead track lighting in the Studio made the space warm and inviting throughout. I will stay in the summer too to enjoy the skylights. Another win for this property is the view from the many windows: you're right on Lake Superior. For those of you with dogs who need just a short walk, the road outside the Studio runs parallel to the lake, so on those walks, you always have a great vista to enjoy. Croftville is just about a mile north of Grand Marais, so I was in close proximity to all the amenities I needed in town. Lynn is very responsive, and her manual inside made the check-in and check-out process transparent. Highly recommend!"

"Beautiful 20-acre Maple Forest. One of the best rustic cabins I have ever stayed in and I have traveled this area for 35+ years. Location unbelievable, good directions and description, enjoyed the sauna, view through large windows in cabin breathtaking. Only change I would make to listing: bring ice or other means to refrigerate food. listing didn't indicate this. No bathroom, outhouse only. I think listing said there is half bath."

"The Mökki cabin was a breath of air and a wonderful getaway. Bathing in the sauna was unexpectedly refreshing, be sure to keep the sauna steamy while you wash up! The cabin is a stroll away from the historic Hovland dock which is great for fishing or watching the sunset. Will definitely be back!"
