"This newly renovated apartment was a spacious retreat for our family of 4. It was very well equipped for cooking meals and everything we needed and asked for was provided. Tony and Samira were fantastic hosts! They even let the kids feed the goats and chickens, which provided great entertainment running about! If you are spending your days adventuring the island, it gives you a place to come back to and get some rest, a shower and a cooler to keep food in so you can save money by not eating out all the time. They provide the ice for free in frozen bottles. They request quiet guests as the rooms are right next to one another. So when you do come back to rest and clean up, you actually can. "Driving there can be tough if you’re coming from Hilo between 4-6pm on a weekday. Also headed to Hilo in the morning is rough. Plan accordingly. The room is epic. If you catch a strong wind or storm during your stay, it’s almost intimidating. The waves are right there. We don’t think we could have picked a better location for what we were looking for. "We enjoyed our stay here. I would have liked to have a chest drawers or suitcase stand to put my bag on, along with clothes. (There were hooks.) Not a big deal, just a nicety that I missed. Other than that, it was super great to be able to hike in the park and come back for lunch or nap and return for sunset or other areas."
