「Prefect for what we needed, a place to stay because the family lake house was full. Everything was clean and functional. The location was convenient to Lake Winnepesauke and Melvin Village. It is a mid-century motel that has been updated. Classic look. Park right outside the room door. 」

「We booked this place because my partner remembered coming as a child. Then I saw the mixed reviews. I was nervous. Absolutely worth it. Rooms have recently been remodeled. Shower clean (no tub). Check in clerk was awesome. We were arriving later than expected & she was very accommodating. She even researched & found an old rewards account I didn't know I had. Beds were comfortable & clean. 「The Golden Gables Inn appears to be an older Inn that has been renovated and the room which we were had what looked like all new furniture and the bathroom which was sort of small but again completely renovated. The price was competitive considering that it was peak summer travel period when we stayed. The only thing missing was a breakfast... 」

「Cute, no frills hotel with views of the mountain from the room's patio. Staff was friendly and helpful with local suggestions. Rooms were very clean. The hotel seemed to be filled up and we never heard noise from other people. Price was right. Within walking distance of mini golf, restaurants and shopping. We will stay here again.」

「we had a very quiet and peaceful stay here the covered bridge. The owners and staff treated us so well. they were very kind and considerate. For an affordable place on the river it worked for us. we will come back in the winter for another stay but longer. 」

「This is a very family friendly property just minutes from tourist attractions. They have outdoor barbecue grills and fire pits for family use. The property is very clean and every unit is assigned a parking spot so there is no worrying about finding a parking space. The owners are very friendly and have a wealth of information so if you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask. It is the only place that we will stay when we come here.」

「What a wonderful stay we had. Listening to the river right outside the window was so peaceful and relaxing. The owner was very kind and always waved hello when he saw us. The room was large. Large tv with Roku. Bed was comfy. Small refrigerator worked well for our drinks and leftovers. Just a great stay. We will absolutely be back. 」

「Comfortable, clean rooms... Impeccable, friendly service. This is a small, family-owned motel and the owners' pride and care are apparent throughout. This is not the Ritz Carlton, but we love our visits here nonetheless」

"The front desk staff was extremely friendly and even recommended nearby souvenir shops and an amazing breakfast spot. I would give them a perfect score for their service. The hotel is converted from an old elementary school, which gives it a unique character. However, the bathroom is a bit small, with a sink that seems sized for elementary school students, making it easy to splash water everywhere. The bed appears to have dust mites, as my allergies acted up shortly after lying down, though it wasn't too severe. The TV offers many channel options, so you won't get bored at night！"
